there are snakes. i saw one from my backyard a day after moving in to my townhouse 2 months ago and just last week two of my neighbors saw one from their garden. depends where you live. we live next to a forest/reserve in carindale. but near to the city too.snakes is not all that. still i love brisbane.

Well its mid summer her in UK and last night there was a glimmer of light at 12.30am when I looked and again at 2am. It gets 'dark' at 10pm this time of year- different to Brisbane when I was there last November/ December! They don't even have daylight saving in Qld!

Wow. Brisbane hasn't changed much (at least visually) since I lived there (1992-1997)...smiled when I saw Hungry Jacks was still next to the Queen Street Mall :) Loved that Aussie Burger (no, beetroot tho - thanks!)
