  • thank you for trying.

  • @teacher1015 YW. I'm sorry I could not get it worked out. I tried 3 ways to compress the video to no avail. Their size limit is simply too small.

  • A speech the proves my love for my country, yet my hate towards my government. God Bless America, Damn thy Government!

  • Please upload to teachertube so I can use this in my classroom. It is the best one I have found.

  • @teacher1015 I have not heard of teachertube

  • @scw1217 teachertube is a child friendlt youtube for videos that teachers can use in the classroom. Youtube is often blocked because of the questionable content that can be found. TT has nothing on PH or his speech. PLEASE upload this on there. It is wonderful!!

  • @teacher1015 I wanted to let you know I tried doing this for you, but their video size requirements are just too small. Sorry! If I can help you in any other way, let me know.

  • They don't make men like this anymore.

  • @jonnyw82 They do,just not many.

  • I shed a tear and blood rushed into my ears. I felt not like crying but dying for the freedom that once was, but is no longer, America.

  • nice!

  • Best speech ever. Getting the tattoo soon!

  • This exact same speech could pretty much be given today, with slightly updated language.

  • Where are men like this today?

  • @tailspin37 Judging from the search results to "Give me liberty or give me death," it appears that they are all in fancy dress.

  • @tailspin37 Right here brother

  • how did they record this from 1775????

  • @hmwillow LOL, amazing isn't it? Seriously though, it's a Librovox recording.

  • @hmwillow hahahahaha

  • I don't think anyone has managed to captured the emotion which he had when he actually said this.

  • @loserhailose Yeah, totally. Reading it, see how many times he says "sir" and "gentlemen," and how the language becomes more and more strident as it approaches the end... I suspect that people in the room were trying to shout him down and that he was screaming at the top of his lungs for whole of the second half, probably waving his arms about, flop sweat flying everywhere. But most people read it like he's reciting the grocery list to his elderly mother.

  • @loserhailose i honestly believe this. Because we never really know the tension that time before.. i actually wanna know because im gonna recite this in my class.

  • video is nicely done (^____^)

  • .WOW! Great visual with speech. I have been inspired by the video making. P.H. attended the First Continental Congress convinced that the war was inevitable. At the VA Convention (the narrator) lacked the PASSION of the rally cry for LIBERTY: WAR against British TYRANNY.

  • How timeless!

  • @whitewolf60 you can say that again.

  • How timeless!

  • Excellent video. We need to send this to all our children, grandchildren and e-mail friends, YouTube friends and contacts. Good Job!
