@fretburn100 How am I "trolling" ? Isn't trolling when I yell and beat my fists on the keyboard to piss someone off? Please learn the definition of something before accusing someone of it. And it was apparently a sale that was like a 1 time only thing.
ok so ive been checking out crysis videos all over youtube and i really want this game can you tell me what type of computer you would recommend me to buy so i can run this game on full capacity smoothly? - please reply
@hugh2go You want a quad core. Or a AMD sixcore, which is what i have. amd quad cores are a waste of money now: for a few bucks more you have six! Your video card should be at least a HD 5850, so that even in very demanding areas it still runs at more than 30 fps. You need 4 GB ddr3 or more, preferrably over 1000 mhz. A hard disk which has 7200 rpm or higher, and 32 mb cache or higher. Capacity is just what you need. Also, take a very fast motherboard and a 750 watt power supply.
@FRURMELLL any advice on where i could find a quad core or a amd sixcore like to buy. how did the amd sixcore work for you? did you have to buy the video card, ddr3 hard disk, everything else with it too??
@hugh2go I just bought it at a local computer store. Any one should have it. I have a 1055T, and it's great! Very nice performance, with six cores. And yeah, I bought each part separately. The computer store assembled the pc for me (I know how it works, but I don't want to mess around with such expensive hardware).
You are comparing a 3 way card against a single card setup. That says it all kid. Btw the ATI 4850 (with no overclocking) rips the shit out of the original 9800GT overclocked...
hey, i have a question. do you think i would benifit (in crysis) from a switch from a duel core 3ghz to a triple core 2.4 ghz? i will probably do some overclocking if i upgrade.
4850's aren't rock bottom, I bought a Zalman VF1000led heat & fan for mine which came with heatsinks for the ram chips too. Now my 4850 sits @ 810mhz gpu & 2400mhz ram, never go's above 51c at full load. Upload all my benchmarks to Furmarks website, download RBE bios tweak increase the voltage here & there & bingo!! My old Asus 4850 wipes the floor with 4870's & 9800gtx's, there loads u can do with a 4850. Get 1 if ya can, there sooo cheap now aswell!
@GuitarsUnite, I don't think that an insane custom built would have a 4850 in it. It's pretty much at the rock bottom when it comes to gaming GPUs. It's meant for playing at low resolutions with lowered detail in a few games. Not to mention that you can forget about GTA IV with 512MB of vRAM.
@SGFVIDEOS Um how about a no? I have a GTX 580 and an i7 and 6GB DDR3 RAM. I get an everage of 50 fps. Everything maxed and max resolution. 50 fps is not playable.
@fatfatr Going to have to disagree with you there. The 4850 can max most games with 8xAA and a good resolution. Yeah, you won't see one in a rig with an i7 and 8 gigs of RAM, but for most gamers this is a pretty damn good card.
@fatfatr I have a 4650 with 1Gb of ram.. It's not the rock bottom, it's just for people that don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a GPU. I dunno if I can play Crysis on max graphics, but it's definitely not "Rock bottom."
I'd have to disagree, the 4850 is a very good budget gaming card. It's not hardcore by any stretch but, by evidence to this video, many others alike, and my own experience with it, it can run just about any game out even now on medium/high settings. Coupled with 4 GB + RAM, a good PSU and CPU, and you're good for at least another year.
I thought of upgrading the 5 year old HTPC I have. It's got a 775 socket mobo, I was thinking of : e6500, 3GB RAM,4850,corsair 400W PSU, Antec 200,Seagate 7200.12 HDD. I have an aftermarket heatsink on my pentium 4 lmao, don't remember how it got on there TBH. I know it would most likely be a better idea to build a new PC with an AMD CPU, but there's nothing like bringing an old PC new life.

its not only about the graphic card, if your processor suks or motherboard or powersupply or cooling then there is going to be lag in the high end games even u have a 512mb graphic card
@Rapishes Yes u can, but at lower settings. And I don't think u can use DirectX 11 on that card. I think u have to upgrade to the 5 series before u can use DX 11
Hhmm, alrite, coz my friend has the same card and he runs everything very high smoothly, the rez looks high and also, I don't know about the anti-analyzing.
Do you think I can play crysis on the max without gettin lag with these specs:
AMD Phenom 9500 Quad-Core [Estimated at 6.1GHz].
4GB RAM.
HIS IceQ4 Radeon HD 4850 TurboX.
500GB HDD.
Computer is now in repair because my motherboard cooked up and is getting replaced with a new one. I'm not sure what it's called but it's one of the latest.
It doesnt work like that, you dont add GHZ+core's= each core runs 1 thread at its max speed so in your case 2.2ghz. So you'd be better of with a higher clocked Dual core. Yes your cpu will be a bottleneck.
Yeah,right...I dont have any game still, and plus im getting this pc 31th december, youre just jelaus, right? And i didnt asked can you,i asked can i play it on this settings. If you want to give me a answer, give some good, not this shit. And learn to spell.Whu?Thisng?Cuad?lolAnd plus in you machine??XD rlol
Yeah im from Serbia, and i know to spell, loser!I have to say youre vid, where you compare Crysis settings,is cool, and i though to subscribe, but after this i wont....nigga!
Of course it does. Higher resolutions means bigger textures, and so that means the computer must load and run that bigger textures, which will cause a FPS notable difference...
If you didnt understand me wait other people to answer because Im uruguayan ann english is not my nativa language.
plus my highest resolution my lcd goes to is 1600x900 so i have it on that theres no way for that vid card to get that much fps on highest the max should be 20
LOL THAT IS NOT ON HIGHEST GRAPHICS, on highest the picture and quality is so much better and ur water looks like shit i bet thats on lowest or medium because how in the hell are u getting 25 to 30fps on 4850 when i have 4890 and thats how much im getting ur just full of lies lol and the funniest part is a lot of people believed it was highest graphics
dude you do realize low looks like shit right? if this was low or med their would not be rays of light under the water and the light on top of the water would slightly mess up, the vision blur would very little and objects would constanly be appearing out of no wear.
I have a HD 5770 1GB... i run Crysis on Master Config 3.01, 8x AA 1680x1050...(all max).. My FPS was chocking to me... Buy a card from the 5000 series... its more future safety... 5770<3
dude get a i7 920 2.66 GHz and buy a crosshair h50 CPU cooler and overclock it is around $70 and for graphics card get a evga 260 gtx 216 core superclock or xfx HD 5770 both have lifetime warranty and both are around $170 and get a nice motherboard and PSU
Nice.. i aint really rich like yourself so i have a shitty comp, but soon i am upgrading to a budget PC that can still run all the good shit for £500 :D
If you can afford it 5750. When it comes to techs, is always good to have the last one, even if the so called "modernity" of the product last months. But with the actual prices of the HD 4850 and the quality of it and the sister product, HD 4870, you could get a lot of bang for not much money.

its not only about the graphic card, if your processor suks or motherboard or powersupply or cooling then there is going to be lag in the high end games even u have a 512mb graphic card
punjabhe 2 years ago
will i be able to run this game with: 4gb RAM, 2.7ghz prossesor, ati radeon HD 4350, DX 11
Rapishes 2 years ago
@Rapishes Yes u can, but at lower settings. And I don't think u can use DirectX 11 on that card. I think u have to upgrade to the 5 series before u can use DX 11
BelieveNoGod 2 years ago
what settings?, low, medium or high and DX 11 is running fine
Rapishes 2 years ago
@Rapishes Ok. It may be a sales trick from the producers, then.
But everywhere I look it says u need the 5000 series of cards to run DX 11.
BelieveNoGod 2 years ago
@Rapishes There are tests of the 4350 running Crysis here on you tube.
Just search for Radeon 4350 crysis
Try this one "watch?v=b_sju1mQFu0"
BelieveNoGod 2 years ago
theres no dx11 in crysis

I can get Crysis running on very high but the framerate isn't amazing.

The new PC I'm getting has the same card as this but instead of 512mb it has 1024mb, should I expect better performance from this?
T3hGearos 2 years ago 2
@T3hGearos i dont think so
Kelthoras1 1 year ago
@T3hGearos Yeah. You can get higher resolutions etc, because there is just more memory. It still is ddr3, am i right?
FRURMELLL 1 year ago
@T3hGearos More memory means better performance at higher resolutions, but I wouldn't expect anything amazing to be gained from it.

Hhmm, alrite, coz my friend has the same card and he runs everything very high smoothly, the rez looks high and also, I don't know about the anti-analyzing.
Nik2170 2 years ago
Do you think I can play crysis on the max without gettin lag with these specs:
AMD Phenom 9500 Quad-Core [Estimated at 6.1GHz].
4GB RAM.
HIS IceQ4 Radeon HD 4850 TurboX.
500GB HDD.
Computer is now in repair because my motherboard cooked up and is getting replaced with a new one. I'm not sure what it's called but it's one of the latest.
Nik2170 2 years ago
yeah you should at 1440X900 2AX High settings
TrueYears 2 years ago
@Nik2170
It doesnt work like that, you dont add GHZ+core's= each core runs 1 thread at its max speed so in your case 2.2ghz. So you'd be better of with a higher clocked Dual core. Yes your cpu will be a bottleneck.

what is the difference between low resolution and high resolution?Does it affect anything?
AssainIssac 2 years ago
Of course it does. Higher resolutions means bigger textures, and so that means the computer must load and run that bigger textures, which will cause a FPS notable difference...
If you didnt understand me wait other people to answer because Im uruguayan ann english is not my nativa language.
Hernaner28 2 years ago
So it really affect something....i played on 800x600 and i felt that something is strange when i play....btw thx

you don't wanna be stretching any pixels

kieran369 2 years ago
plus my highest resolution my lcd goes to is 1600x900 so i have it on that theres no way for that vid card to get that much fps on highest the max should be 20
PwningSarge 2 years ago
LOL THAT IS NOT ON HIGHEST GRAPHICS, on highest the picture and quality is so much better and ur water looks like shit i bet thats on lowest or medium because how in the hell are u getting 25 to 30fps on 4850 when i have 4890 and thats how much im getting ur just full of lies lol and the funniest part is a lot of people believed it was highest graphics
PwningSarge 2 years ago
1.) he uploaded a video on youtube = worse quality
2.) he played at 1024x768 which is significantly lower performance uses, which also equals lesser quality of textures
cyony 2 years ago
dude you do realize low looks like shit right? if this was low or med their would not be rays of light under the water and the light on top of the water would slightly mess up, the vision blur would very little and objects would constanly be appearing out of no wear.
darkedgekilla 2 years ago
You've obviously never played crysis it looks like a ps2 game on lowest, moron

buddysmithburg 2 years ago
actually i bought 23" LED 1080p and playing crysis on high 4xAA and it looks awesome,Batman and dragon age never look that better!! ^^
rockythepain 2 years ago
i was wondering shold i buy this card or the Radeon HD 5750 eny oponions or advise ?
spasko12345 2 years ago
If you can afford it 5750. When it comes to techs, is always good to have the last one, even if the so called "modernity" of the product last months. But with the actual prices of the HD 4850 and the quality of it and the sister product, HD 4870, you could get a lot of bang for not much money.
