This Gasland stuff must be true because all of the kids anymore are totally stupid and believe anything. The kids have had their minds gassed by fracking chemicals.
After a recent surface spill of some of the fluids at a well in Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. EPA commissioned a study to determine if the fluids damaged the ground waters. The study concluded that the fluids “had only minor environmental impact,” according to Karen Moreau of the New York Post, and that the impact of the fluids was localized and did not harm any wells or nearby creeks.
It has already hit Australia in a massive way. Apex energy are putting more in daily. The new area being tested is close to Warragamba Dam. Sydney's water supply.
What research has the director done ? I don't really think enough, research is done over a number of years. This person who developed this works for the Green project Activates who have already sunk a lot of money into the Going Green and they did this to BP by blowing up their pipe underwater and making them take all the blame for the big leak! Of course this is how they do it, they sabotage things ! These people are progressives who want to make their money!
@cold6001 The safety of hydraulic fracturing is well-documented, with zero confirmed cases of groundwater contamination in 1 million applications over 60 years,” according to Karen Moreau, a lawyer and president of the Foundation for Land and Liberty.
If the flaming faucet is any indication, this film lacks merit. Many water wells have small amounts of methane, as a result of going through coal or having some methane-producing biota (algae) in the well. The EPA is doing a study. As of Nov. 6th, 8 of 9 companies had provided information - all except Halliburton. Check it out yourself type "EPA hydraulic fracturing study" at Yahoo! and it will be the first couple of links.
@captainplanet85 just look at winnigreen and check all the real facts. USA has did developed new technologies which allow to protect and control water in new efficient and safe way, jobs, millions of jobs, lower cost of energy, end of OPEC and Soviet Union

Gasland is propaganda film made by the 1% super rich.
They have their money and now do not want to have any eyesore industries within their view of the countryside.
They are people who have also invested in wind and solar and now see cheap natural gas as a threat to their investments.
Natural gas is the cheapest and cleanest energy to be found on the planet.
People who have invested in other energy sources want to stop clean gas.
Don't be fooled by them.

@AdrienneKay2752 this is a fraud. The Colorado University independent study did prove that it is Methane and has nothing to do with Shale gas

Just watch the film before you decide on its "merit". Why even make a comment until you've see the film?

I really hope something can be done to clean up the USA before it's too late and that this tragedy doesn't spread to Australia.
