I recently visited New Zealand and was very upset by the loss of over 500,000 lambs in the spring weather. Lambs die every year in the NZ spring. Rather than introduce preventive measures, both the NZ government and farmers are happy to take their chances on these poor innocent lives. This is animal cruelty on a grand scale. To call NZ a developed nation is wrong, when they show no respect for animal welfare.SHAME SHAME SHAME
@EddieAlda It would be nice if you had quantified this with why the lambs are dying? Natural causes? Intentional deaths? I know certain amounts of livestock die each year, especially young livestock, all around the world due to a variety of causes. I am sure NZ is no different and they have millions of sheep too. Can you provide reference as to where your statistics came from?

hey in from new zealand and we dont have the 5 c coin anymore and the maori wernt the 1st people here there were the moriori here first and the maori ate them all
@supersiliconman if you're from NZ, you should know that the theory of Moriori pre-dating Maori in NZ was discredited about 40 years. Moriori are the indigenous people of the Chatham Islands, which they settled around the same time as the Maori settled mainland NZ. Taranaki Maori invaded the Chathams violently subjugated the Moriori. It's frustrates me that so many NZers are ignorant of the country's history.

No they werent... the7y were a tribe of MAori that were given the boot by Kai Tahu... just a weaker tribe that was overwhelmed and forced out by a stronger tribe.
