Peter Green is probably one of the most unique guitarists in the white blues genre. His are the only 3 or 4 minute solos I actually enjoy. The man had rhythm.
Oh if only Aerosmith could never have formed ,People would never have to endure the cavalcade of shit tunes from them since 1988 or so.Now the mouth is a tv star, him and jlow are my type of stars.
The song that put Aerosmith together. If Steven Tyler hadn't heard Joe Perry play this song at the Barn at Lake Sunapee in 1968. Aerosmith would never have been. That's to Peter Greene

Genius!! I think he could have cured himself through either prolonged fresh juice fasting or Ayahuasca. It a shame that the Doctors of the times put theses guys on drugs that made them much worse long term once they got spiked!!
must have been the band's last time or perhaps penultimate tour stateside w/peter. the next time they came to fillmore west was sans peter, but BG kept it a secret. i went up to him and bitched about no peter. HE FLIPPED OUT, typical BG, god bless his ass, though. anyway, we stayed, band did Kiln House plus some classic stuff, expanded the jive fom jeremy, his elvis imitation in a ( purple? ) suit...never the same, still interesting for sure, but never as before, of course.
Peter Green felt constricted by Fleetwood Mac. He wanted to play music that wasn't commercial. He did "End of the Game", and couple singles that predates Peter Gabriel's, and Paul Simon's, "World Music" with African rhythms by at least 14 years. It's hard to tell whether the psychedelic drugs or his natural chemical imbalance led him to schizophrenia. By 1/73 Peter Green was out of the music business for at least four years.
@grserm By the initials BG i assume you are referring to Bill Graham. Don't you hate it when "people try to put on airs about the celebrities they are talking about by not even spelling their names in the first go round?
this is off live @ the boston tea party i think.. the jam off the back of this inspired me to pick up a guitar again for the first time in two years.. the "underway" part is beautiful
It is funny you mention the Bloomfield comment as i have said the exact same thing on East-West upload a while back.
Apparently they never did, i can only dream of how special that would be. Two of the only players that i can think of that would totally shine and integrate with each other and also leave there egos behind for the sake of the music.
Haha you know they would both be playing the heart and souls out!
Hey there, really cool vid. Please take the time to check out, rate and comment on mine and subscribe if you like... Much appreciated and happy new year! Chris.
