@wind4watts yes, its running very smoothly, even on full load! But as you can hear about 01:15 min there's a valve tapping noise i must care. Sometimes i also have missfiring in high rpm mode (welding) i think its the capacitor in the ignition system i have to change or check in the next time.
Im not sure if this engines need lead fuel for the valve seats but the engine runs since the 90s permanently with non lead fuel and it still runs.
@yves2234 Yes mine had the very same valve-tappet noise until yesterday, you adjust them via the 2 rectangular plates on top, taking the gap down to 0.008" when cold, left sides easy but better loosening off the inlet manifold & lifting it a bit for the right side, bit awkward there, 14mm & 11mm spanners or 9/16 & 7/16th. Many had Stellite Hard valve seat inserts maybe not on my old 50's smoker though, Cheers.
Very smooth indeed! doesn't look so different to my 50 year old flat twin Onan, but if it works well why change it!

@CrudeDude Yep it's a bit big but quietens it down well, muffler sits by yard wall so out of reach from the kids, can be unbolted if needed.
