@Mistakrunk is absoloutly right. I choosed a female Shepard well......it just felt more right when i thought about it due to how a guy is the main character in almost EVERY story, game, movie, books etc. Than when i played it felt more right too. And when i looked at some male SHep vids here on youtube im glad i chosed the female. Sheh as more emotion and intensity in what she says. You can kind of play more how you want with her. Male Shepard is good too but he fits more of "Just do the duty"

its a shame that there aren't more hair and voice options. dont get me wrong, I think the game is awesome, it's definitely one of a kind and there are so many options in it, im sure a lot of people with disagree with me but my character just seems too manly and shes a woman. Still the game is definitely one of the best games that i've ever played.

I think the female voice is perfect, but the male voice is a bit too dry... Jennifer Hale just has so much experience. Mark makes the "I Remember Me" quest seem okay, but Jennifer makes it a real tearjerker that I literally have not gotten through ONCE without moist eyes. More hair would have been great, though... they were just too much the same. And I'd like more options in ME2 for moving the head; it's too easy to make a head you don't like and then realize that only after the long cutscene.

I know I'm rooting for the underdog but I liked male Shepard's voice better mainly because it was dry and sort of unemotional. It made the character a bit more ambiguous and more open to interpretation to me. I played through the game with both a male and female though but the male Shepard left a more lasting impression, though I do agree about the benefits of looking at a female's ass.

Yeah, I kinda don't want them to make a movie because I would want them to use my Shepard. And I really don't see Bioware making the same mistake that LucasArts did with Darth Revan making one of possible KOTOR storylines canon when they just as easily could have left it open.

This is the only femshep I've seen with the hairstyle mine has. Most people choose short, or even bald (wtf?). Mine has same hair as yours, but it's red, and she has purple eyes and some scars, and pink eye shadow. Kinda creepy how hot I made her. =/

You can. That's the beauty of Mass Effect: You have the option to choose if you want to end up with someone. As a "FemShep" (Female Shepard), your options are Liara or Kaiden. As the male Shepard your options (as far as I'm aware) are Liara and Ashley. I'm not sure if you can hook up with Kaiden as the male...I've never tried it >_>
