Seriously? Ok, the music is obnoxious and it hasn't changed in a decade, with infinite remixes that gradually get worse. The depth perception looks hard to adjust to because the game is squashed into such a small screen. The powerups have all been done before, with small differences that don't really make a significant change in gameplay. The stages look crap, being mostly made out of squares. Not to mention it is not reminiscent of the old games at all, despite all the obvious hints of attempt.

@thepokekid01 I'd rather have the Frog Suit than the Raccoon Suit. Raccoon and Tanooki are too similar. Besides, it seems weird to put the Frog Suit in Paper Mario 3DS but not Super Mario 3D Land. They should bring the cape back from Super Mario World. Boo Suit? Why not a more underused powerup, like the Red Star? I think the Blue Shell would be more practical than the game-breaking Mega Mushroom. I'd rather have the Ice Flower than the Penguin Suit too. All the ice powers without looking silly.

I'm worried about it being as devoid of challenge as NSMB was. Especially since 3d — even with a fixed perspective — is inherently more complicated and thus might scare of potential customers.

@lneh Some of the star coins in NSMB (or the Wii version at least) were pretty challenging if you ask me. That's how most mario games are these days. The extra stuff is pretty challenging but the main game is easy so everyone can enjoy it.

@bONz08r0nzan Barely played the Wii version, multiplayer tends to make that harder since there is collision between players. The DS version had nothing remotely challenging in it. I certainly could not enjoy it, and it was a huge waste of money. I won't say time because it was so short.
