seems like a wronge cable,, i heard about this problem when the people shipped out the wiikeys,,, obviously the resellers were giving drivekey jtags rather then wiikeys
@noobest200 I couldnt get mine to work either after installing the chip. I left a disc inside thought so had to remove the chip and connect the ribbon directly, and the DVD drive was working fine again.
My question though is after cycling through the ISOs and pressing the reset button, the game never seems to load. Is this a problem with software v1.0? I havent updated to v1.5 yet as it keeps telling me the serial number I've entered is incorrect.
I just did install the same chip without problems. I had problems with the wasabi chip. It seemed to work whenever it felt like it. So I bought this one and it seems to work fine with me thus far. I'm really not an expert so I can only give some basic info. I almost forgot to put the power cable back on to the drive, so make sure that's connected. And if you have a newer wii, check that your drive is supported by the modchip. Ok, real basic but anyhow. Contact the developers too.
That chip is bad really,I do not recommend inserting it into the console =/
