they r singing about mystical love of God and the sacred devotion as seen in Sufism...Khwaja is God ,they r asking God to become one with them,reside in my heart only and singing all praises for God..a great king Akbar is sitting there and Ash is his wife who had to marry him without her wish...and they hav still not got together no closeness to each other....its a highly spiritual song about God's love Ash being a Hindu though starts crying

This song happens when Jodha and Akbar get married. Jodha , the hindu princess is not very happy that she is married to Akbar the muslim king , which happens for a political reason.

She is sad to leave her family and friends, thats why the women are crying.

I think the crying is a mixture of many emotions here. The devotion in the song may have touched a cord and brought tears to her eyes, because if you notice she's not crying during the ceremonies, and later as the song starts, her close up is shown, with her eyes tearing up.

Khwaja Mere Khwaja is a qawalli about Khwaja Moinuddin Shishti......He was from Imam Hassan's family line. .....The Qawalli basically is about him and how through him they reach PBUH Prophet Muhammad........and Hazrat Ali's laadla.....meaning ....Ali's dearest.......The masjid is in India.
