My grandma adopted a kitten whose mother is persian and whose father is an alley cat. It came out short haired but has big eyes, long tail and the sweet docile nature her mother has. Such a sweet kitty!

OMG i have a pedigree Silver and white persian and you can let them outdoors they are fine with it, sure you shouldn't leave them out all day or anything but my girl poops outside and goes for little adventures around the garden! they are indoor cats but it's stupid to say they are ONLY for indoor living, the persian cat is naturally long haired so they must have coped originally in the wild.

My current cat is an outdoor cat, and she has always been healthy. She's turning 10 soon and is still number 1 rat hunter in the neighbourhood.

My sisters Black persian was exactly this description; short, gentle, slow, lounger, snorter, grooming demand and health problematic. Her other persian was the oposite; loud, demanding attention, climbing fences and getting into the pantry on her own, catching birds somehow but also grooming demands were daily as well. Sheesh!

as experienced and as much as I love cats... I have NEVER had a good experience around a Persian cat. -.- Every single one I've seen just hisses without me even touching it. Maybe if I saw one that was a tiny kitten, I'd have a better experience. I love my Bengal, American shorthairs, and siamese cats. My bengal is very friendly and loves to play, and be touched.
