As soon as the K pins are removed, the hospital shoe can be replaced with normal shoes which need to be large enough to fit bearing in mind the foot stays swollen for months, In my case I drove after 4 weeks with the left and 5 weeks with the right foot. My car has a manual shift so I needed to use both feet to drive.

Man those were bad. My arent anywhere near that bad. I'm having surgery in 2 weeks. How long before you could drive?
