I really think Fred Durnst got a bum rap for inciting a riot. Sure he said "break stuff". But that was one of his SONGS. A lot of the Woodstock concession got destroyed. That was wrong. But what did the vendors expect when they were charging people $40 for a pizza and $5 for a bottle of water? That is why I don't go to festivals that last more than one day. You are at the mercy of the promoters and vendors. It's not like you could wait until you get home to eat and drink. Fuck Woodstock '99.

@Massivecarcrash Large festival concerts that last longer than one day are logistical nightmares and should be avoided. 200,000 is A LOT of people. No one would drop the population of Newark, NJ in a field without sufficient food, water and toilets. But for some reason herding 200,000 people or more into a field for a concert is a good idea to some. Large football stadiums and auto racing tracks are more suitable venues.

Unfortunatly theres no official release, everything you see is recorded on VHS from the live tv broadcast.

The only ones who sits on the original footage is the TV company and maybe Limp Bizkit themselves. I hate to say it but we may never see a proper mastered and edited release of this concert.

It wasn't a surprised that the journalists & host Sam Nunn still point the finger at Limp but it was shocking that Johnathan Davis of Korn also blamed Fred. I stared at the screen for a minute and I couldn't believe Johnathan threw Fred under the bus thirteen years later while the night before Korn had the crowd super hype as well. Fuck you Johnathan.

I heard a bottle of water cost more than $10, the toilets were overflowing with waste, and not to mention intense summer heat. The Offspring also played at the Woodstock '99, and when their singer Dexter was asked about his impression, he said it the best - "If you treat people like animals, sooner or later they'll start to behave like animals."
