  • Even though i'd love to say that Whelan's goal was better then Van Basten, unfortunately it wasn't! Great goals and great video! :D

  • 9th goal amazing

  • Marco unico!

  • Super goals

  • Ronnie Whelan must have thought he had the `goal of the tournament` in the bag.... up steps the best striker of all time, Van Basten was an amazing player, easily top 10, no doubt at all.

  • En 3 de los 10 mejores goles estuvo Marco Van Basten era un fenómeno.

  • Ronnie and Marco's goals. One word; MAGIC!!!

  • @DaBoyzInGreen i totally agree with you!!! (not because i'm a dutch)

  • Marco Van Basten, Michael Laudrup, Gary Lineker , Lothar Matthäus, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Ronald Koeman marcaron una época ilustrada del fútbol europeo.

  • marco van basten, wow.

  • Number 9 goal by Von Basten = great fucking goal

    From an Irishman.

  • Poor Dasaeff .... the best goalkeeper of the Euro 1988 and he received the best 2 goals of the tournament !!!!!!!!!

  • @superlucas010578 That's because he was the best goalkeeper that they needed to score the best goals :)

  • @superlucas010578

I've noticed that a fair chunk of the best goals in history were scored on Dassaev. It was the only way to beat the bastard.

  • goal number four, van basten hatrick against england, never was.!!! little known fact. watch the replay close. it was an own goal as defender(dixon?) slides in and pokes the ball beyond shilton.

  • @crazyfonz yep you could be right mate, it certainly looked like the right-back no.2 (Gary Stevens) slid in and poked it past Shilts.. I never actually noticd that b4! However, there was a similar thing at Mexico '86 with Butcher and Maradona ...

  • @crazyfonz You are not right. You see the speed with which the ball leaves the foot of Van Basten? A ball can never develop that speed by sliding against it. Stevens may have touched the ball, but calling a touched ball (like that) an own goal is not done.

  • @crazyfonz - HAHAHAHAHAHA Just sheer magic!!
