edwards sperm did not turn into fairy dust and create a beautiful creature/human. Bella even shares the thought in the first section of the book. Girl vampires can't get pregnant because in order to get pregnant our bodies have to go through a change every month AKA a period.

boy vampires can get human women pregnant because men produce sperm until they die (which even when there dead there's a way to contain the sperm) which is pretty awsome
