  • Amazing job ! Ban-ki Moon ! Your work for the world is greatly appreciated ! Thumbs UP ! :D

  • Check out UNOCHA's sneak peek into the life of UN SG Ban Ki-moon -- "'The World in a Day' - the United Nations General Assembly."

  • the world is fucked up because of several countries that exercise their power with no idea what they are doing. I don't wanna list the countries because you will know what I'm talking about.

  • ban ki moon GO OUT

    ban ki moon GO OUT

    ban ki moon GO OUT

  • An absolute callous, cowardice act of murder committed by the Afghan people today in Afghanistan. How could they go out and murder peace keepers? These people who were murdered did not come under or represent the U.S, British or any other flag other than that of the United Nations which represents peace for all people who inhabit this planet. And to the bigotry pastor Terry Jones shame on you, your meaningless act has resulted in the death of 8 PEACE KEEPERS. R.I.P

  • The legitamacy and acceptance is UN is effectively dead because this pro-western general got the post! His statements are not much differ from that of US state department. No wonder hes from South Korea which is an ally of US, and him being a former diplomat to US may explain the reason why his views are always in aliance with the US! He always got problems with countries hostile to US and its allies but regarding countries like Israel who grossly violate "human rights' hes tight lipped!

  • North Korea's got Kim Jon Il

South Korea and the rest of the world have Ban Ki-Moon

  • Reading all this comments.. haha... It's like no matter how good you think you've done your work, as long as you're in a high position, people fire at you. Always always always always.

  • Until UN reforms Security council, they are simply fancy disfunctional organisation. Just to give those smaller countries feeling, that maybe we have like World friendship.

I can imagine WW3 would bring some reforms right away, heh.. jsut like with League of Nations

  • Ban ki moon did what he must.

NOT his fault the world is fucked up.

    onelove!

  • @SiouxSyndicate Ban ki moon has not done anything of substance. I just attended a lecture in Uppsala, Sweden, run by former Under Secretary General Inga Britt. She recently submitted a report as she left the UN criticising Ban ki moon for his total lack of willingness to pressure the P5. After the release of the report, Ban ki moon appeared on television stating that the UN must address the issues she raised, but afterwards launched a campaign to destroy Britt's reputation and credibility

  • the guy that introduces Ban Ki moon was chair during recent conference.

  • Wow! Didn't realize this was on Youtube. I was there last year when Ban-Ki Moon addressed everyone. Forget where my class was located though.

  • I was there, on the Morocco's seat... Look, Maybe it's right and he's not the best one for this really REALLY important job, but, anyway, he's UN Secretary-General and he has done his work to be there.

Now, listen, if you guys would had the oportunity of being there just like me -a 16yo mexican kid- you'd just be sooo excited of listenig to UN SG even if he's the mos boring man on the earth... Soooo exciting...

  • so what have U accomplished cabal777? ...

  • Who would you prefer then?!

  • A man of action. A real human rights lawyer or maybe an ex-peacekeeper. Not some spineless diplomat again plz.

  • I can't wait until I am able to attend a Model United Nations program, I have been to the General Assembly Hall as a visit, but I want to go their again to actually be an "ambassador"

  • Ok...so you're having an opinion on whether or not Mr Moon is well suited to be UN Secretary General, and you just asked me who Dag Hammarskjold is??

"This great institution to be continuously successful?" You haven't got a clue have you. You've probably thought about it for a minute or two, and giving some half-arsed opinion.

Why don't you learn about it before you give an opinion? Pick up a book or 10.

  • Excuse me but the United Nations is a democratic organisation. I have legitimate critique of the leadership. This is laughable. Must be some kind of joke right?

  • Absolutely you have a right to critique leadership, and to debate whichever issues you wish. It is the vulgarity used by 'consdel2000' and your subsequent personal insults towards that user which will not be tolerated. Thank you for cooperating.

  • Kevin Chan? He was the Student SG for the Conference

  • who is cabin Chan- anybody know?
