Its not that we dont bother. We dont need to. Stock VW parts like the steering wheel usually look better than any aftermarket stuff. I own a 1993 VW Scirocco and I spend my money trying to keep it as original as possible. In my opinion, the car itself couldnt look any better than it already does and any aftermarket dress up parts just make it look like crap.
coilovers aren't worthless at all. they aren't just for looks. and you can't generalize all vw people like that. take a look at the video you commented on. and its not just vw people who buy rims. i have seen countless amount of new chargers and magnums with sweet chrome 22's
