@2chrono hey man if you want a loop button for vids do this (i do it all the time when im addicted to a speific song) infinitelooper. (com) had to put brackets around the stuff cuz youtube acts dumb and doesent allow links properly, anwyays yeah just search what song u want (it searches th youtube database) and click the vid and it infinitely loops, :D

I didn't like this game too much, they could have made the gameplay more user-friendly. I mean, you have no idea how many times I've been totally frustrated be 1) A horse-head thing that somehow I can't whip, 2) A medusa head that hits me, knocks me onto a false floor block, and I fall to my doom, or 3) I jump to whip a hook thing to indiana jones across the gap, and my whip misses it and I fall down. AAAAARGH! SO FRUSTRAAATING DX<

The one thing I really liked about this game is how classic it is...the music, the gameplay, the graphics...its all classic. And that's exactly what this game is; a remake of a classic title. Too bad they couldn't remove the IV and just call it SUPER castlevania but whatever.

To me, Portrait of Ruin is the best Castlevania game.

Why?

- Best controll of your character ever! - you can use your whip in any direction  - not so stiff animations when moving

- Lots of weapons and items

- Great Music

- Nice SFX

- Detailed Sprites

- Not too shabby story

It is easier than many other Castlevania titles, but for me it is the most enjoyable in the series. You unlock hardcore difficulty later anyways.

Ah, CV4 Vampire Killer. Didn't know the title when I rented this game years ago, but I recognized it as the same one from Stage 1 from CV1, which I played around that time. A lot.

I did not like the way the game was stringed together either. 1: Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin 2: Castlevania: Circle of the Moon 3: Castlevania: Symphony of he Night 4: Super Castlevania IV 5: Castlevania But in the end, it's all about personal taste ;)

I don't know how I ended up with this game on my SNES... but I was scared of it when I was a little kid. I couldn't beat it either. So... about 14 years later, I actually try to beat it again. Pretty fun. Of course, this is definitely one of my favorite songs. Most of the other songs were so ambient anyways.
