Paul, dont know how you do it but this caption has had more hits than one by Reg Dixon and Phil Kelsall. If you keep this up they will ban you from that little Wurlitzer in Blackpool. He he
It's got 2 ways of starting the blower. You can still use the 1935 voltage regulator starter or you can do what I do and thats switch the 3 phase on and push a button.
Your style is great and from one who likes Reg Dixon but not any of the current crop who sound like Dixon on drugs.Study the master himself not his clones. He was sparing in his use of the waterfalling effect and use of the teirce couplers.Listen to Dixons output from 1955 to 1970 when i think he was at his best.
I've been in the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool once. I'm learning to play the organ at local Yamaha Music School. I decied to learn to play the organ after seeing & hearing organists like: Phil Kelsall, Robert Wolfe, Nick Martin ect..
verse: Everyone delights to spend their summer's holiday Down beside the side of the silvery sea I'm no exception to the rule In fact, if I'd my way I'd reside by the side of the silvery sea. But when you're just the common or garden Smith or Jones or Brown At bus'ness up in town You've got to settle down. You save up all the money you can till summer comes around Then away you go To a spot you know Where the cockle shells are found Oh I do...............
Chorus Oh! I do like to be beside the seaside I do like to be beside the sea! I do like to stroll upon the Prom, Prom, Prom! Where the brass bands play: "Tiddely-om-pom-pom!" So just let me be beside the seaside I'll be beside myself with glee For there's lots of girls besides, I should like to be beside Beside the seaside! Beside the sea!
Nice to hear 'Beside the Seaside' complete with the rarely heard verse ! Every bit as good as the much more well known chorus. Does anyone out there know the words to the verse ? I'd love to know 'em !
Excellent. Im playing on the Blackpool wurlitzer on the 20th november. I simply can not wait. Do you want to become one of the resident organists at the tower? Kind Regards, Paul.
I notice a bit of a bounce going on there. I have seen a video of Phill Kesall playing that organ where he gets a very energetic bounce up. I wonder if it has something to do with the stool?
There is no bribery needed you just pay what ever the current fee is to leasure parcs and you too can have an expreiance like this one, well not me as i cannot play any instrument at all, the only wulitzer I can play used to be found in the corner of the cafe we went to every night on the way back to the digs at Blackpool 6D for one record.
fantastic

I was just building the suspension! I thought it'd maybe lose effect if I hit the "up" button before the famous bit of the tune.
