Nolen is an active little boy from the start! Congrats on the very healthy weight gain- you look great and your bump is adorable. I'm sooooo glad you get the option to do a water birth if you so desire. Love you bunches! Xoxo
"Rocking the cave man fur." HAHA! I love it! I am right there with you! I am 20 weeks today. Shaving has become such a hassle. It doesn't happen very often these days. I would not be surprised if in the future my husband shaves my legs for me. Yay for long pants! I love keeping up with your pregnancy through your videos. Keep them coming!
I love the movements, I feel my little man kicking all the time & being so active. I love when he pokes through my clothes, just shows how big he's getting :) I also was offered to start classes in Jan, the 5th, from my hospital, does it concern you that you might forget some of the techniques or information by April? I was a little unsure so I contacted the coordinator to verify if they were going to offer a Feb/March class just in case. Anyway you look great, Happy Holidays!!
@NYCbaby711 For an April due date, beginning to mid-January will be third trimester, so I don't worry that it's too soon for the classes. My classes are a 6 week series and I'll be over 33 weeks by the time they're done. I am excited to take them and think the information is something I'll be committing to memory and reflecting on more than just in class, so hopefully it won't be something that disappears.
I'm totally the same way with saving I have given up! So happy to be pregnant in winter!! I'm happy to hear ur hospital has a labor tub that is so great! I wish mine did... Can't believe ur tummy is so big already I love it! Time goes so dang quick!!
I get the not wanting to be bothered shaving thing. I go 6 days sometimes without shaving. The hair makes me itch and i eventually have to do it. But it is hard to get my thighs, and I have to take a deep breath and hold it until I get each upper leg done. I too am rockin the caveman fur! You look great, healthy and happy. I know you are super excited about the birthing tub.
That's so funny, I poke and jiggle my belly all the time, so much so that I always say that his first words will most likely be "Piss off, Mom!" LOL :)
The only over-the-counter thing that has worked for my skin is the Olay face wash for oily/combination skin. It's the only wash that has helped me without over-drying.
Lol items funny you mention the shaving thing with the hubby because I had to have mine wash my feet and help a little with shaving too!! Well I hope you have a merry X-mas and I'm glad to hear all is good with baby!
I had that same thing happen when I stopped using proactive. I would stick it out. I tried to quit so many times over like a 3 year period of time but always went back because of how bad it got when I would try to stop, but its so worth it to get off. It took my skin a while to balance out but it will and its SO much more healthy now. Not to mention that I no longer bleach everything I own.
@MrsTraciC I am really going to stick it out this time! I went off of it before and made it through the initial breakouts, but then went through a period of horrible hormonal breakouts like I've never had. It took a high dose of a prescription to get rid of it. Since then, Proactiv has kept it under control pretty well but I was tired of being a slave to the 3 step system! haha
I can't believe your already 23 weeks!!! I'm due in 5 days with a boy and I still can't believe we have been blessed!! Its still so surreal I bet you can't wait to meet him!! Man looking back I found this pregnancy went by fast but slow at the same time!! You look great btw.
Oh i def there with you on the breathing I run out of breath all the time just from simple stuff like walking to the car, or in the store or talking its just ughh!!! I havent started lactating at all I'll prob be like late lol I've gained 13lbs were close woo!! lol I can't believe i'll be 24 weeks/6 months thursday like omg 4 more months?!
Just wait till you accidentally squirt your hubby. It can happen. I still laugh at the time I accidentally squirted my hubby. They can be dangerous. lol
I started getting colostrum around 23 weeks as well. I still remember the first time I got some on my shirt and I was freaked out! ha ha Oh the joys of crusty nipples! :o)
Don't ever let anyone at the hospital "allow" you to do anything. It's your birth, and your choice what you want for your experience. Your doula will probably tell you the same thing (I'm a doula too :) ) I am very happy to hear your town offers water birth at your hospital though! Such an amazing experience! Way to go for knowing your options!
i feel you on the whole breathing thing! it feels like the baby is pushing against my lungs, and i just cant seem to catch my breath. i wish my baby would move a lot! i feel him a lot in the evening, but thats about it, during the day hes pretty mellow. im 26 weeks today. u are definitely bigger than i am, im 5'4 and my pre pregnancy weight was 112, i now weigh 128. i wish i was as big as you! haha!!
@loganieusaf she actually looks very small to me, your comment is quite insenstive and rude, especially for someone who is also pregnant. Must be that pregnancy brain causing diarrhea of the mouth :)
@summermason96 i totally didnt meant to come off as rude or insensitive. if i offended anyone I'm so sorry. i wasnt saying she looked fat or anything, not at all. she started out small just like i did, and i just notice how her belly is bigger than mine. again, im sorry if i offended anyone, that wasnt my intention :(
That is so exciting that she is open to letting you birth in the water if you choose! Someone mentioned st ives apricot scrubb and I just wanted to say I have used it before and it is a really good one-Love it :) I go old school now though with Noxema and it is good also.
I actually leaked a lot while pregnant and omg, after birth before it's under control I leaked like crazy! Showers left me feeling pretty miserable at first because milk would be streaming out lol!! Lots of reusable breast pads are in my future since I'm 18 weeks with my 2nd!
I know exactly how you feel about not being able to breath. I'm 4ft 11 in tall and we lived in second floor in our old apt so I couldn't breath by the time we got up to the place haha....
When i was pregnant I had a couple little random leaks too. Barley anything just a little wet spot. Just wait till you milk comes in! Right in the beginning before your milk supply is determined by your baby you leak a lot! Well at least I did. i remember having to quick get a bra on after i got out of the shower because i would be leaking everywhere! Ahhh fun stuff! Now my baby is 5 months and my milk supply is under control.
Wow I am due Aprill 22 2012, I have very sensitive skin and its hard for me to find things that work for my skin too.
