The Greek kalamos,is a woodwind of the late baroque and early classical era, in appearance like a recorder, but with a mouthpiece like a clarinet's.
A story in Nonnus's Dionysiaca tells of the love of two youths, Kalamos and Karpos, the son of Zephyrus and Chloris. Karpos drowned in the Meander river while the two were competing in a swimming contest and in his grief, Kalamos allowed himself to drown also. He transformed into a water reed, whose rustling in the wind sigh of lamentation

Wow thats really amazing!! I play the clarinet and I just really love how this music sounds. In my school, we have this thing called the ICS festival. International Cultral Society festival. It has all typres of ethnic performances and I would love to do one of these songs and show how cool this style of music sounds. How can I get this music? I signed up for the website but dont really know how it works. Please write back. Thankyou so much

Thanks for your reply. What style is this?(any of the songs.) It says on the website I have to make 50 posts in order to get access of anything and Im confsed how to make a post. Is there some how I can get any of the sheet music through the website or online? I also wanted to know if you knew the names to any of these songs. Thanks for all your help.
No, you should be able to post immediately after you activate your membership. the 50 posts are for other materials like having access to other member files that they are sharing...the first song is Greek, but I am sure I messed it up, the second one is from a hippy singer Demis Roussos. And the last two are my own invention
