  • I was nervous at first about getting into a 7.3 Powerstroke, I had a 7.3 IDI before which was very mechanically simple and easy to work on, and the Powerstroke intimidated me with the HEUI injection system and being an electronic motor but once I started watching your videos and reading information on your website it really helped me out a lot and gave me the information I needed to understand the engine and to feel comfortable with working on it. Thanks for everything you do, Bill!

  • This guy knows his shit I did the injection tune up on my early 99 bout to do fuel mods

  • Powerstrokehelp is the best hands down.

  • Bill,

I had a 2006 F250. Injectors were shot, tranny was slipping at 170K. I am 33, drive a ton, and just got engaged for the first time. She was with child, so I had to think. Rebuild this truck that is about worn out or look at a family vehicle. Since then, I have seen every 7.3 video you have made. I watch them in my down time. My fiance, calls me retarted. Bill, my income is in HALF from what it was 3 years ago. HALF! With your help, I now own a 2001 and a 2002 Excursion 7.3!

    Charles

  • Im a 35 y.o. Diesel/gass master tech who still loves what I do and really appreciate your input.

I have enjoyed watching your vids i see 7.3.6.0.6.4'z alot here in Texas so im always studying (still).lol.

    Btw. Are you hiring?:-)

  • You rock man!!

  • Great video, great guy. What truck/vehicle do you drive? By the way I want and know I will be a diesel technician for the rest of my life. What is it like being one?

  • @4rdt0ugh08 once diesel fuel gets in your blood it is hard to do any thing else. Type "spot the shop truck" into the YouTube search bar above. Just turned 835,000 this week end.

  • OLÁ,AMIGO!TENHO UMA FORD V8 DIESEL ECONOLINE E-350 E ESTOU COM UM GRANDE PROBLEMA

ELA NÃO FUNCIONA QUANDO VIRO A CHAVE ELA COMEÇA A QUERER FUNCIONAR MAIS NÃO FUNCIONA O QUE PODERIA SER ESTOU NO BRASIL E ESTE VEICULO É UMA AMBULANCIA

  • Because of bill and ebay I bought the parts for 350$ and used his website and youtube helped me with diagnosis on my truck and now big nasty runs great thanks bill.

  • @powerstrokehelp Because of your website I found 2 years ago, and now your YouTube stuff, I changed my mind from another brand to powerstroke and couldn't be happier. Keep up the good work.

  • @JBlinky67 Its amazing how many Ford diesel owners are happy with their trucks but they dont get the attention. Only the folks raising hell about how Ford screwed them.

  • I recently bought a 2001 powerstroke with the 7.3 and I used the "how to buy a used powerstroke" video and it really did help me so much. The truck is lifted, and has 180k miles. But she is running strong! I've been watching these vids and I'm learning a lot that I never thought of. Im an aspiring diesel mech and Im from middle Ga (macon) and I admire and appareciate your videos!

  • you've taught me so much about diesel trucks!!! I have been driving them at work since 18 my first truck and all trucks will be diesel! Can you do a 6.4 bulletproof video greatly appreciate it

  • I just sent you an email and a testament to powerstrokehelp.

Thank you so much Bill for all you've done and am doing.

  • I found your site while deciding which motor I wanted for an Excursion. I used your "How to buy a used powerstroke" videos to disqualify 2, and found a pristine 2003 7.3 averaging under 6,000 miles / year.... before I got it - its now doing around 15-20K/yr. I've gone through all your 7.3 stuff, and it has made a big difference - and helped out friends. I push your site whenever I can, you do a great service to the community!

Wish we lived closer, San Diego is a long way from Georgia!

  • @ChlorineFreePool forward your mailing address to POWERSTROKEHELP@BELLSOUTH (dot) NET and I will send a POWERSTROKEHELP note pad and sticker.

  • I might do a video of me and my truck here in australia and mention how you have helped me save heaps here in aussie bill, cuz when you mention F250 here in aussie the parts, workshop labor and accessories quadruple in price..

The price for anything F250 in australia is ridiculous,i buy all my stuff from the states.

  • I have a friend with a 7.3 and when it get's below 40F out he has to plug in the block heater or it won't start.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

    Thanks

  • @golfecho2 Is there alot of white smoke when it does finally start?

  • @powerstrokehelp

    Yes a little.

  • @golfecho2 Id start with the glow plug relay. I have a series on YouTube that deals with no start.

  • @powerstrokehelp

Ok i will do that, Thanks!

  • @golfecho2 I had the same problem with mine, I had bad glow plugs and a bad glow plug relay. Had them replaced and good as new. Although under ALL circumstances DO NOT use autolite glow plugs, they will swell in your block and when it comes time to replace them haha well you have a whole new job on ya. I have I think they told me bosch duraterm glow plugs LOVE THEM!

  • Hey bill, I told my friend who has an 04 6.0 about your web site. He stated he was losing coolant and truck was running like crap. After viewing your site he went and had his truck bullet proofed for 5 grand up here in jersey.. Yup it needed head gaskets and egr delete, and had everything done you suggested. The mechanic shop also knew of your web site. Thanks for all you great help. Spreading the word up here in jersey..

  • love your site.Keep up the great work....

  • Point blank, watch his videos before you buy ANY diesel Ford! There are LOTS of tips and things to look out for and they will save you and your wallet greatly! I look forward to more videos, thank you!

  • Love your site. I gained a lot of knowledge on my 7.3 that I did not know today. Next stop NAPA.

  • I thought you were going to ask us to start writing to Ford about getting a free truck because of what you said in the other video. I have enjoyed your videos about maintenance since I live in my E350 with a 6.0, I'm not homeless I run expedite freight, mostly automotive stuff. It is really important the van keep going because breaking down is never fun especially 1500 miles from home and losing your income.

  • @itsdonenow Ford giving me a truck is a joke. If I take it then I am somehow beholden to them. That would diminish the truth and power of my message if I sell out. Seriously if I want one of their trucks I will go buy one.

  • id like some cards or stickers or something to advertise. theres plenty of people with powerstrokes around here that could use some help!

  • @AnotherDayInTheNJ Email your mailing address to me at POWERSTROKEHELP@BELLSOUTH(DOT)NET. I would be happy to forward some pads and a sticker.

  • How about a video about the best types of theft protection for these trucks...lots of them get stolen and hurt many folks that need them for work.

  • do you have a facebook page??

  • @ronmalcolm I do have a POWERSTROKEHELP face book page but I have not developed it.

  • Just want to tell you that your website and youtube post are GREAT have really helped me with my own truck 06' 6.0L F250 crewcab, Thank you.

  • man, i don't even own a diesel, but some of the guys i know do... if they have problems i tell them to check out your site, same with the mechanics at work, if they are havin trouble workin on them i tell them check out the website. i just watch them to learn about diesels really...i find them interesting lol

  • Could you please do a video of diag. P2290 P2291, I had a 04 Exscersion with this as a no start. The IPC sensor was below 500 psi "375" I suspect bad high pressure pump or leak in high press. system. The next day went to start the diag, It started and ran mint. So far 3 days no problems? I dont know what to do for now. I am puzzled? Thamks Paul

  • @maxpaul11 I'm guessing with actually seeing the truck but it sounds like an intermittent IPR valve problem. They can hang open or closed and cause this exact problem.

  • @powerstrokehelp thank you for your help! Your videos are very helpfull!! Keep up the great work!!

    Paul

  • Bill I just told a kid in my Auto's class about your site, and videos, he's an owner if a 6.0 King Ranch. it was leaking coolant all over the shop today. Hopefully you can help him out, he seemed kinda overwhelmed.

  • You the Man! I have a 2000 F-250 Superduty V-10 4x4 and didnt know a thing about the Power Stroke untill I saw your YouTube channel. Great info Thanks!

  • Thank you for your very down to earth approach in explaining the complex workings of the diesel... I would enjoy handing out your cards. Just to let you know, I have been giving your advice to others here in Rochester,NY... Bob

  • @rsitch1 please forward your mailing address to powerstrokehelp@bellsouth (dot) net and I will get some pads in the mail to you.

  • I helped my neighbor fix his 6.0 because of you, thank you

  • Im in the process of trading my 2008 F150 with 26,xxx miles for a 2001 F250 with the 7.3 and 134,000 miles. I enjoy driving the 7.3 much more and it feels smoother, even after 134,000 miles, than my F150. I appreciate your videos and your drive to help other with their problems. Keep up the good work

  • You have helped more than just Powerstroke owner. An educated consumer is a better buyer. My brother is buying a used diesel truck for his business. You had a hand in that directly. He asked me and I told him about your videos. A lot information was accessed.

  • Mr. Bill. Being a 6.0 powerstroke owner now. I have always had the fear to even try working on not my own or let alone any diesel motor and I work on cars and trucks for a living. You are doing a great thing with your website and the YouTube videos. They have brought my confidence to try to perform not only the maintenance part but to do everything I can to keep my 6.0 in line. Keep the videos coming.

  • ill do what i can you showed me alot from your videos

  • Right on Bill, you saved me a bundle with your water pump video. Thanks

  • Well i don't own a diesel truck but i would love to have one of the new 6.7L fords.. but just from watching the vids that u post up have educated me to know somewhat of the diesel engines.... keep up the great work and i love the explenations on all of the failure and procedures to fix the problems. iam allways waiting for a update vid.. great works guys

  • Bill I bought a 2006 F350 King Ranch (dually) with 17,900 miles on it. I LOVE the truck. I bought the truck and camper (Lance slid in). So someday I need to talk to you about the proper maintance on this rig. I already changed the oil to aimsoil. He had a bigger exaust put on (4") with a (5") tip. Converter gone, Thanks for all the help Bill. PS I'm going to pass your site to him, he owns several Ford trucks.

  • Keep it up, Ill spread the word.

  • Great vid

  • done.

  • What truck is that in the BG?

  • i think a forum based application would be a big help for people on your website.......i dont know if you are familliar with eric cook (the car guy) and his youtube channel but he has a forum about cars, repairs, ect ect, its the hottest thing going for him at this time.

  • great video i will do that...

  • Can I have one to put in my Chevrolet?
