If you own an iphone... you can use your wifi or data to send sms/mms etc. However, if you own an ipod touch... then yes you need wifi. The recipient does not need to have Itim app. I have never tried sending texts to a nokia phone but it should work.

Waste of money. Very slow. You will never get messages or will send any messages. Forget about MMS. This is a dead app and I want my money back :(
