  • One day this man will be rememberd as a hero of modern medicine and the profit seekers in the medical/pharmaceutical industry will be seen as villains.

  • Can u used this grounding device with magnetic pulsing device?

  • what if irs cold and i wear socks for a lil. can i still get some benefits??

  • I teach this a lot as an essential energy tool for sensitive and awakening souls and refer people to The Earthing Institute regularly. Thank you for your work! Kimberley ♥

  • Omg, now I know why I like to remove shoes to feel the grass! And thanks God, we Muslims are always grounding when we practice the 2nd pillar of Islam the daily prayer (=recitation of Quran). Anyone who does the obligatory daily prayers is earthing 17 times a day. Hmm wondering if these shias who pray putting their face preferably on a stone were thinking of earthing.

  • Dr. Sinatra says, "Hyper-coagulable states, or sludgy blood" @ 1:41

  • 1:41... what's that word?

  • I bought the fitted sheet and sleep on it every night. I also have the pad that I put my bare feet on as I work on the computer. I really like this technology. I also go for daily barefoot walks on the beach to get those free electrons and to connect with the earth. I journal about it at AmandasHealthJournal(dot)com/earthing.html

  • I've been doing this for a while now, just in my back yard. He's right, it just feels good...

  • !!! WARNING !!!

The series 'V' is a fictional TV show that explains (revelation of method) what is really going on with the evil UFO creatures (real spirit Lucifer & spirit demon gods) on this earth. The John Carpenter movie 'THEY LIVE' is actually a docudrama that explained this fact about the UFO creatures 25 years ago, but most people care more about the foolish religion of sports than truth, freedom or saving their own lives! I have evidence.

  • Will grounding help me recover from adrenal exhaustuion?

    I have low cortisol...

  • @bamptonbred Grounding can certainly help one recover from adrenal exhaustion. By bringing the body into a more parasympathetic state, grounding can ease the stress on the adrenal glands. Sleeping grounded has been also shown to help normalize cortisol levels. Full recovery from adrenal exhaustion, though, will probably require integration of additional strategies like getting into a manageable routine & getting plenty of sleep, nutraceutical and botanical supports & stress-reduction therapies.

  • @bamptonbred We posted this question and a more elaborate answer on the Heart MD Institute Web site in our Mind-Body Medicine Section (which has articles you may find helpful) - "Your Mind-Body Questions Answered" - go to heartmdinstitute(dot)com for more info. Best in your recovery.

  • Do sealed ceramic tiles allow earthing to occur?

If I have a concrete floor in my garage, but I remember seeing insulation and maybe a plastic vapor barrier put down in the foundation before the concrete was poured, would that concrete floor still provide earthing benefits? If even part of the concrete went all the way into the earth?

I made a point of walking on the beach/ground in barefeet daily when I had the chance last weekend, and I am really noticing a change in my energy this week.

  • @BOTTOLOTTO I would say you're better off on something completely natural... otherwise everything would be grounded.

  • @pendejadafcc

Well, pende, barring a move and new construction, completely natural isn't going to happen. I ordered an earthing sheet for the bed and an earthing mata few days ago. Slept on the sheet last night for the very first time, and I SLEPT ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE NIGHT! I don't usually do that, particularly this week, (just acquired some painful injuries and sleeping worse than usual.)

Can't wait to see other ways it helps!

  • @BOTTOLOTTO Well that may have just been a coincidence, but the point is touching the earth. If that's not possible you're better off meditating or using other much stronger ways of harnessing the earth's and your own energy. This is a very subtle way of grounding for beginners or people who are already outdoors a lot.

  • @pendejadafcc - around here, 100 degrees F and 100% humidity - and fire ants - I'm not spending tons of time outside. And my dh ain't goin' thar. Nor will he sit and meditate. But he does go to sleep each night, and I'm putting that sheet under us. I mainly got it for him and his health issues, but will not turn down any bennies that come my way.

But what do you mean by "much stronger ways of harnessing the earth's and your own energy?"

  • @BOTTOLOTTO Well if you're not eventually getting into truly developing your spirituality I see no point in grounding other than sleeping through the whole night, which is fine if that works for you and it's all you think you need right now. Good luck with that.

  • @pendejadafcc - you are too funny! I tell you than my dh isn't into meditation, and you make sweeping comments about my/our spirituality. Does that really work for you in your other relationships?

I was interested in what you meant by one of your comments, and that is why I asked.

  • @BOTTOLOTTO I didn't know what you meant by "dh"... I was thinking wife... you should've made that more understandable. Sweeping comments? I don't know what that means and am not gonna bother googling it, but it's just my opinion, don't take it wrong. You're just getting competitive and disrespectful now telling me I'm too funny.... good luck with your grounding bro

  • @BOTTOLOTTO If there is insulation and perhaps a plastic barrier before the concrete was poured you will very likely have no conductivity. If however, some of the concrete slab does come in contact with the Earth, then the whole slab will very likely be conductive.

  • I have 2 questions, how long should a person ground outside barefoot to notice relief from Rheumatoid arthritis and how long for anxiety?

  • @Ubuntufrog (response - part 1): The easy answer is, “as long as it takes.” Grounding benefits are particular to the individual, that is, the amount of time it takes to experience relief of anxiety or inflammation-related pain symptoms differs from person to person.

  • @Ubuntufrog (response - part 2): Some people report feeling better after just 20 minutes of grounding, and research has shown physiological changes and significant improvements in the body’s electrical activity after 30 to 40 minutes.

For people with chronic conditions, it may take longer to experience relief of symptoms such as inflammatory pain of arthritis; relief may be significant, overnight, gradual, total or partial.

  • @Ubuntufrog (response - part 3): Generally speaking, benefits of grounding are dose related – that is, the more time spent regularly grounding, the better one’s chances of symptom relief.

Grounding may catalyze anxiety relief more quickly than rheumatoid arthritis (RA) pain relief. Grounding helps create nervous system balance, and lessens stress, by inducing parasympathetic nervous system activity (relaxation response).

  • @Ubuntufrog (response - part 4): People with RA have reported experiencing moderate to significant pain relief and improved mobility after sleeping grounded for a few weeks.

  • I made a simplified grounding device from copper screening soldered and crimp connected to 14 guage copper wire and the other end of the wire ground connected to a copper cold water pipe in my apartment which showed in electrical testing to be a good ground.. I am just beginning to try it out. I was nervous about using the old electrical system in my place to ground anything(3-wire late 1950s or early 60's wiring only partly updated) Any ideas or recommendations?

  • @heartfire451 (response - part 1): You can ground to a cold water pipe, to a ground rod, or to the ground port (third hole) in a grounded electrical outlet, if, of course, it is grounded. You can use copper wire and wrap it around your ankle or wrist, or do what you are suggesting. But we doubt you will find it very comfortable and are not sure about what happens, toxicity-wise, with long exposure to oxidized copper.

  • @heartfire451 (response - part 2): As a general rule, in the interest of safety, Heart MD Institute advises against the use of homemade grounding devices. If you’re unsure as to whether your house is sufficiently grounded, you might have a professional grounding technician / electrician check your electrical ground system. More information about grounding devices may be found in the Alternative Medicine section on the Heart MD Institute site and at grounded(dot)com.

  • A note to all the folks who have posted positive commentary that we have not replied to -Many thanks!!! Your comments are wonderful to read and we very much appreciate them! We hope you will continue to enjoy the benefits of grounding as well as learning more about it! Keep the comments coming and best of health and happiness, Heart MD Institute

  • What if youre in a city can you get the same results from concrete ?

  • Yes, as long as it is not painted or otherwise sealed. Concrete is a conductive substance made of water and minerals. It sits on the Earth and retains moisture. So the free electrons will pass through just as they will if you are sitting or standing on grass or open ground. Asphalt, on the other hand, is made from petrochemicals, and is not conductive. Neither are wood, vinyl, plastic, or rubber surfaces, which insulate rather than conduct. Best in health and happiness!

  • I have a grounding mat and a rod with a chord running outside and started feeling very buzzed and often got flu-like symptoms afterwards. I am EMF sensitive so I bought a Trimeter to measure the EMF's on the grounding mat. The grounding mat EMF's were in the hazardous area so I stopped using it and stopped recommending it. An electrician said this could be due to induction from electrical fields. Wrote to earthing.com—they knew nothing about the Trimeter measurements. I'd like an explanation.

  • Response part 1: Occasionally some individuals who describe themselves as “electro-sensitive” report feeling strange energy (even a “buzz”) when they start grounding (Earthing). The energy they feel when grounded is simply the natural, subtle, electric field that is eternally omnipresent on the surface of the Earth. If you walk barefoot on the ground your body is receiving that same energy.

  • Response part 2: Although humans have evolved in direct physical contact with this energy throughout time, most people in our modern society are insulated from the Earth’s energy. We no longer walk barefoot on the ground. So reconnecting with the Earth’s energy can feel strange for some people, particularly if they are ultra sensitive. In most cases, this feeling is temporary, and goes away as the body becomes accustomed to the Earth’s natural energy.

  • Resp 3: If the feeling is too uncomfortable, stop Earthing. Resume, if you wish, in a day or two by spending 15 minutes or so barefoot outside or in contact with the Earthing mat inside your home. Then very slowly increase your exposure. In this way, you may often be able to work your way gradually to using the Earthing mat longer. Just go slowly and at your own pace. Some electro-sensitive people have found that they receive positive benefits just from minimum exposure to Earthing.

  • Response part 4: As far as the comment regarding the meter reading is concerned, the trimester you describe cannot measure body voltage. You cannot use it to measure any reduction of electric field charges on your body when grounded via the mat. The meter you have can only measure electric fields in the environment which would have no meaning as to the working condition of the mat.

  • Response part 5: When you are in contact with the mat, or any Earthing product, it will instantly eliminate any EMF induced charges on your body, such as the AC (alternating current) EMF radiating from the wires or appliances in the vicinity. Please refer to the Earthing book (pp. 42, 78-81, and Appendix B) or the Understanding Earthing (grounding) paper posted on the research page at the Earthing Institute web site

    Best of health and happiness.

  • "Earthing institute (dot) net" is the site name (for some reason it will not post as a web address).

  • Interesting.

  • My grandma knew this 100 years ago. She would let her children wear rubber soles.

  • @tamaraalferoff - wouldn't?

  • @marleybob52 that's right, now corrected, I hope!

  • @tamaraalferoff

Misprint. She would NOT let her children wear rubber soles. She said it interfered with the electricity from the earth. Nothing new under the sun, just a new 'school' for earthing.

  • I purchased the Earthing book on Amazon.com along with the grounding sheet and the earthing mat for general use. I can tell a huge difference in my daily energy level. I heal quicker, deal with muscle soreness much faster and noticed a difference in my alertness.

  • Oh and don't Forget to do the next best thing, that is, get rid of your rubber-soled insulated shoes, and wear shoes that have leather soles because they are much more grounding.

  • @whatthephuque but then you support leather production. :( Hemp would be better. :)

  • ahhhh the simple things in life are always free and the best!!

peace and love to all life~~~

    we are all one~~~

    we are awakening~~~

  • @furnacefire Yes, hurray! And, oh, it's about time. It's about time.

  • I have always walked barefooted...it just feels right to have my feet touch the earth! thanks...people always thhink I am weird! Now I understand why it feels so good! Thanks!

  • @aquawoman12 Me, too! It doesn't feel right to have shoes on my feet. I wear them to shop, etc., like everyone else, but when I'm home off they go! Shoes don't feel natural, more like armor. The same goes for clothes. I have an isolated spot where I often go without clothes. Sometimes I feel my skin yell to get the clothes off so it can breathe. It feels amazing to have air touching my skin. I have a vision of paradise: everyone eats food the way nature makes it and lives in the raw. :))

  • Its natural for kids to walk barefoot. Dr Bernard Jenson encouraged people with Rheumatism to walk barefoot in the morning on the dew covered grass. Amazing how everything pieces together!

  • Amazing, the greatest MEDICINE is right under our feet all the time, yet most of us don't EMBRACE it for most of our life.

I took my grandma to walk barefoot on grass and she felt amazing and slept well the entire week, and she told me its the first time she touched the ground barefoot in 20 years.

  • Its rare for me to wear shoes or use a chair when I'm outside. I'm rarely sick.

  • Its rare for me to wear shoes or use a chair when I'm outside.

  • great info. thanks! moving to the beach!

  • I just got Earthing [kindle edition] from amazon, im reading it on my pc. Loving the simplicity of grounding. When the weather improves enough I will ground myself ;) thanks!

  • @brahmamurti - You don't have to go outside to ground yourself. Just use the ground that is in your electrical outlet at home. I built a grounding pad for myself with the ground from the electrical outlet really cheaply. The earth is obviously the best for unexplainable reasons but this works when it's too cold out. Msg me if you are curious how I built it.

  • Wonderful information Dr. Sinatra. I just put the book "Earthing" on my amazon wish list. The reviews looked good about it plus one of my teachers recommended it. So true, everything you are teaching. Thank you. T

  • He speaks truth about stuff.... but honestly a healthy life style does help alot

  • didnt nikola tesla develope a technology to create electricity through the earth? OH YA I FORGOT THE PEOPLE HE WORKED FOR BURNT HIS STUDIES DOWN. irony.

  • If I took off my shoes, but leave my socks on, will that interfere with the earthing process? Also, if I wore rubber flip-flops or beach sandals would that decrease the earthing process? I know completely barefoot is ideal, but sometimes the places available to me do not look sanitary. Thank you.

  • Cotton socks and nylons are okay (especially if your feet sweat, which will enhance conductivity), but barefoot is best. Rubber and plastic are non conductive and insulate, so flip flops will prevent you from grounding. Shoes made solely from leather will still conduct the Earth's natural electromagnetic energy, though. Best of health and happiness!

  • Very interesting concept!!! Another thing to ground yourself is to wear gemstones like turquoise, clear quartz and rose quartz for example.

  • @Natapier Yup, I do that too. I wear clear queartz and Aqua Aura whihc my favorite and it makes me feel great!!!! Crystals are amazing!!!!

  • @zigyzigy13

    Good for you...

  • @Natapier Good for me...

  • Thanks for the tip Doc.
