Really? The SA80A2 is one of the most accurate and reliable weapons in the world. The A1 version was wank, but H&K made 13 modifications to the weapon system in the late 90's to fix the problems reported. The only criticism the weapon generally gets now is that it's heavier than most other assault rifles. I've used the weapon for the last 4 years in various climates including Afghanistan, and have only had stoppages due to not cocking the weapon properly. Quite simply, the weapon is excellent.
It's great to see how they handle situations, also it's nice to hear that people from other countries consider our army to be almost as skilled as a special forces team because really we don't have that many numbers so it's good to have skill ^_^.

Plus, Aussie diggers did not wear regular Auscam in Afghanistan and still don't. They wear Auscam - Desrt DPUs... aaannnddd most of the Aussie diggers don't use F88 Austeyrs in Afghan. Believe it or not (and yes I know it's our primary small arms combat rifle), we used/are using the M4.

The ANZACs were landed by the Royal Navy (through no fault of their own) at Anzac Cove. The fact that they manageded to gain a foothold at all shows how hard and well they fought. They did indeed kick Ottoman arse (Lone Pine) and suffered many casualties in the near-suicidal attacks on Turkish-held trenches.
They did in fact meet resistance during the landing, it was sporadic and un-coordinated, but for the rest of the campaign they had the bulk of the Ottoman Army trying to drive them back into the sea. Like I said, the fact they held the beach at all is a far greater military feat than Swedes handing out lollies to Afghan children and walking around looking mean in Kosovo.
Sweden did not fight in either WW1, WW2 or any other war worth mentioning without going back in history 200+ years, therefore anyone from your nation has no right to 'judge' the perofomance of those who did.

We also have the training and supplying of Norwegian and Danish soldiers.
The spotting of Bismarck, leading to its destruction. Sending crashed V2 rockets to the UK. Lending out airfields and intelligence to the allies etc etc.
Sweden never declared war(even though the was ended a few days before we were supposed to launch an operation to free denmark.), but we still paid a large role.

Our army currently fights in Afghanistan, we also have forces in Kosovo. We have also been in many other countries with FN mandates for peacekeeping.

The Swedish Army is not fighting in Afghanistan, they are a PRT in the relativly safe North of the country and seldom come under any sort of enemy attack. Peacekeeping in Kosovo or anywhere esle cannot be classed as a war. How often have the Swedish soldiers fired in anger in any of these operations?

We also have the training and supplying of Norwegian and Danish soldiers.
The spotting of Bismarck, leading to its destruction. Sending crashed V2 rockets to the UK. Lending out airfields and intelligence to the allies etc etc.
Sweden never declared war(even though the was ended a few days before we were supposed to launch an operation to free denmark.), but we still paid a large role.

Come back when your nations soldiers fight a modern battle against overwhelming odds (Gallipoli, Kokoda, Long Tan, Coral-Balmoral, Kapyong etc are just some Australian examples)

It wasnt a beach, it was more of a sandy cliff. Not hard to defend something like that.
If you want to look at military feats, take a look at the battle of nerva. Heck, the swedish military history is littered with feats.

Even harder to take a sandy cliff than defend it, like the Australians did. The Swdish were not involved in any war of any consequence last century. Stop thinking that because you beat the Finns 300 years ago means you're good. No one cares about Swedish halbardiers in the 30 Years War.

If you're really vain enough to believe that Sweden training a few Scandanavians in WW2 brought about Nazi Germany's defeat then you really are stupid. I guess the Red Army and the D-Day landings were the work of the Swedes too? Australian military history, considering it is only 100 years old, outshines Sweden by a long shot.

'Working for peace' is synonymous with being to weak principled to fight for a cause. Swedens equipment is hardly superior (Gripens are already near obsolete) and as all your nation's military does is aquire new equipment and never put it to use they're really doing themselves a dishonour. Gripen is one of the best aircraft today, super gripen is going to be even better.
We have some of the best equipment availible today. Maybe you have forgotten your Collin sub? Yes, that one is built with swedish technology. We have some that are called Gotland, they did the same feat as Collin.

You forgot Canada, our snipers are some of the best in the world, and our soldiers are well trained, dedicated men and women.
And one really good example of Canadian courage and skill is Vimy Ridge.
