  • i dunno why...but this is lyk one of the xtremly few anime's that i prefer to wath the english dubed version

  • Martian New York City.

  • I think I see where Hideo gets his MGS stuff from!

  • What place in the time line does this take place? Is it after the real folk blues part 2?

  • @microsoftnerd4life between session 22 and 23

  • whats the name of this song its awsome I LOVE IT

  • @Lustblood89 Knockin On Heaven's Door or You've Gotta Knock A Little Harder. There are videos for both names. It's the same song though ;)

  • As a brit who routinely hates American voice actors, bebop had the best. I still prefer the Japanese as I think the English language version of Spike just doesn't fit his character but the others are brilliant in their own way regardless of how similar they are/aren't.

  • DUDE this was deffinetly spikes dream, vincent = spike and Electra = Julia, and the thing Vincent says before he dies makes sense with spike

  • And wait I just realized, was spike actually dreaming

  • Life is but a dream to get to heaven

  • A man who lived in dreams. That's who he was.

  • I feel like a person who lives in dreams all the time.

  • this song is awesome, revereberates the aching loneliness a person feels. no better way to describe it than listnenig to this song. Arigato yoko kano

  • I keep forgetting how much I love this song! Every time I hear it I fall in love with it all over again!!

  • To those who keeps asking, this song is sung by Mai Yamane.... (Don't know if the Seatbelts is the band playing though)

  • yeah they are...Yoko Kanno and her band The Seatbelts frequently team up with different singers.

  • Y

well, just reading the credits in the ending would have told him that :)

  • Loved the ending.

  • The ending of this movie makes me a little emotional. Because we all know that this is the last we'll see of Spike, the gang and the rest of the Cowboy Bebop world. The ending credits are a beautiful send off if you ask me. No matter what happens, life goes on.

  • for once i actually prefer the english voices to the japanese, normally i don't

  • agreed, and they're both preferable to the french one. I swear, i never thought it was possible for Spike to sound FLAMINGLY GAY, but there ya go.

(on a slightly related note, if you want to see an awesome french cartoon movie l.u. Triplettes of Belleville. If Michael Gondry and Hayao Miyazaki managed to have offspring together, (s)he's probably have made this movie)

  • really? I love the studio ghibli films, I might have to check that out, thanx

  • OMG! jack sparrow at 2:14!

  • Awesome song to awesome series, this never gets old, thanks for upload

  • is this cowboy bebop 2?

  • its the movie

  • Whats the name of this song ?

  • Gotta Knock A Little Harder.

    Idk who it's by.

  • probably the Seatbelts...they perform the Cowboy Bebop songs that Yoko Kanno composed

  • also, the end quote at the end of the movie was epic. Are you living in the real world? Bebop was always such a trippy anime, that's why I love it. Kinda like what the Matrix did for me.

  • lol

it's funny how everyone is like "ZOMG, it's rain!!!!"

  • Plz tell me that you agree with me that the ending of the CB series is better. I mean bang?

  • hmmmmm both are really good but both are really different and each make a different point.

  • adult swim starting showing it again. Tho they took out death note!T-T

  • whats the song at the end?

  • its called "knock a little harder" by the

seat belts and did "ask DNA" in the opening

  • Ah..Cowboy Bebop overall is my favorite anime of all time. I remember when I first saw it back in like 2001 when adult swim showed it.

And is it me, or does Faye sound like Yoruichi from Bleach?

  • Yes you're correct. Faye and Yoruichi are voiced by the same person, Wendee Lee.

  • The Movie Takes Place Between Episodes 22 And 23. And Spike Is Not Dreaming All Of This.

  • This is my fav anime movie of all time..The Inuyasha movies were okay and the Fullmetal Alchemist movie was great but I just love this one the best and yes I know theres tons more anime movies but I still consider this one the best ^^

  • cool movie, excelent end, nice song!

Are we! living in the real world?

    Nice

  • It was just that he was all alone. Always by himself. Never anyone to share the game. A man who lived in dreams...that's who he was.

  • is spike dreaming all of this

  • Yes, Spike was dreaming all of this.

At the beginning of the movie, we see Spike asleep and Jet tells him to "get up". Spike stirs and suddenly it moves onto the next scene of Spike walking down the street. We never see him actually wake up. The ending shot, it shows the same exact scene of Spike sleeping (just like the beginning), so it's presumed he's dreaming all of this.

The whole movie is Spike's dream, and the last quote Spike says COULD POSSIBLY resemble Spike himself, not Vincent.

  • interesting way of looking at it...i hadn't seen that perspective, but reading your comment that would actually make a lot of sense.

  • Trust me I hadn't seen that perspective until seeing the movie the second time around. I realized that we never see Spike wake up and just continues as if it was nothing. The first quote in the movie is the same exact quote stated by Spike at the ending, so I figured it was mainly about him, not Vincent. That's just my perspective though.

Others think that the movie isn't Spike's dream, and motivates Spike to kill Vicious once and for all.

Just depends on the individual I suppose. C:

  • I believe it

  • Thanks! :D

  • a burning ghost with out a name

  • Are you living in the real world?

  • like that movie. Only trying to figure out what part of the series it did take place since it is some time between the third and final episode.

  • i believe it takes place between episode 22 and 23.

  • That's right... is exactly between these two episodes...

  • best movie ever!

  • I read somewhere a while back that this movie, or segment in the crew's lives, takes place right before Ed and Ein leave the crew. It's supposed to help influence Spike's final decision after Julia dies. Or at least that's what the creator said...

  • Nice video man

  • one of the more delightful song in analogous to loneliness,

  • I seen the series and Spike does die after his final showdown with Vicious. This is the end of the movie because I have the DVD.

  • i watched the series and the movie and that video is the ending from the movie!!

  • Your wrong this was the movie!

I've seen the series over and over again this is a movie!

  • are we living in the real world?...i think not

  • Yep, yep. Great movie. Man, I keep hoping against hope that someday there will be some additional episode that makes everything clear to me. Granted, the mystery makes the show amazing, but what did happen between Spike and Vicious? I'm confused about the chronology of his days in the cartel.

  • It's actually pretty simple - Spike and Viscious were in the same syndicate. They were friends. Julia was with Viscious, Spike wanted Julia. They decided to leave the planet together. Viscious found out and told Julia to kill Spike or be killed. Julia never showed up, and Spike left, alone.

  • I thought that Julia was the one that shot Spike, since he said something to the effect that he was betrayed by a woman before. Oh, I also read your other post about how the events in the movie inspired Spike's final decision. The coolness of it blew my mind. :)

  • haha, yeah. When Spike said that to Laughing Bull (think that's the mystic's name) you later find that he was referring to Julia's not showing up so they could leave that life behind. Spike never knew that Julia was supposed to kill him, so he sadly assumes that she just decided to not leave with him.

  • the cowboy beebop movie i seen spike died at the end or passed out because he got shot

  • That was the series, not the movie.

  • was this the series ending?

  • No, this is the ending to the movie.

  • I was lucky enough to see this on the big screen during the limited US release.

  • Whats the name of this song?

  • WTH?

    yeah right...

    stop smoking that shit man,serious

  • Uhhh...it's not walk with me in hell.

It's called Gotta Knock a Little Harder.

It's by Yoko kanno, same as all (or nearly all) the Cowboy Bebop music is.

  • Thank u ^^

  • And the seatbelts.

  • >.>; Quite right, I did forget to mention that.

  • cowboy bebop is awesome and so is this movie totally rulesz

  • <3

You made me want to watch this movie again

  • I'm with you guys, The song is great for random walks, Even better when its raining

  • are we living in someone elses dream?or is this my dream of the world

  • a couple days ago I was driving into Toronto over the Skyway bridge. It was about 10pm and it started to rain lightly and the city was shining bright with its millions of lights. I threw thing song on the CD player lit a smoke and went cruising around the city. It was awesome.

  • ooh, that sounds sexy!

haha, yeah, that wasn't wierd AT ALL.

i like to walk around the block in the rain listening to this. my neighbors have long come to the conclusion that i'm the resident crack addict, and my regular strolls is just me searching for a fix.

  • 26 episodes (I think)

  • Hum....I don't really like the Bebop's crew voices in english...what about you? Are them the same as the series? In french, they're different from the roots, and pretty ugly, especially Spike's one...I can't prononce myself about japenese VOST lol, sorry...Please reply so i could see..
