Under most commissions you get a count 20 seconds total to get up and to get back into the ring. 10 seconds to get up, and 10 seconds to get in. I figured you two would know this by now, you're generally on top of things for your age.

i thought it was 20 seconds only if you get knocked clean thru the ropes (while being on the ropes) like mclellan did to benn years ago, but only a 10 second count if the kd occurred on the mat and the force drives the fighter to the outside apron. maybe i'm wrong, but if the latter rule is correct then cassa clearly was in the ring and a 10 second count should have commenced probably with a start count of 4. imo, this was not a "clean/off your feet and into the crowd" kd, thus 10 seconds apply.

Timeout fellas last I checked the score cards Katsidis was winning on two of the judges cards and tied up on the other judges card up until the stoppage. The way Katsidis was coming out he was hurting Casa. There is no doubt in my mind that Katsidis would have won if he would have picked his punches and led with the jab before recklessly throwing his power punches. I think you guys should check the score cards again.

Judges do count regardless whether I agree or not. I didn't agree with the JLC v Mayweather I fight with the judges but what's on the books is on the books. I can parade all day about Santa winning that Casa fight but what's in the books is in the books my man. So my point is that Kats was winning and he took uncalculated risks that he didn't need to take. Does it matter no because it never went to the score cards that was my point for those that stated Casa was ahead of Kats.

Actually we pick and choose our fighters based on our opinions and research. Don't ever count out an underdog cause many have won...ie Buster Douglass v Tyson, Sanders v Klitschko, Baldomir v Judah, Hopkins v Tarver...come on don't tell me you don't root for the underdog from time to time. As far as Casamayor goes he's a good fighter I just don't see him being what the Ring magazine and Boxingtalk puts him out to be. Father time is catching up to him.

Though I hate Casamayor, Katsidis wasn't robbed. The boxing rules state if a fighter get's knocked out the ring he has 20 seconds to get back in the ring and on his feet, not 10. But no one can help you up.

Great show, but Casamayor would have beat Katsidis on the cards you guys should watch that fight again. Katsidis would have lost either way. Casamayor only lost the middle rounds because he turned brawler, when he went back to boxing it was game over for Katsidis. About the 8 count - I think the rule is as soon as you get one foot inside the ring the count stops so no robbery and a great win for Casamayor, the guy deserves some respect for his performance too.

Cortez should not be a problem unless he fails to penalize Hopkins for dirty tactics(low blow, headbutt). Cortez is very inconsistent, if he breaks the fighters up inside it will actually favor Calzaghe, b/c Hopkins best shot is inside. But I believe he will let them fight inside b/c of this very fact, so Calzaghe has to be ready to fight inside, which I believe he is. Either way Calzaghe prolly has too much for Hopkins
