Max speed when whit landing is 250 but close to runway you can use 160 but never lower than that. Other wize you blow your landing gear off if you have 300 knots or more....
thats just when your close to runway, than you can use an 160 knots..but 250 far from the runway..always watch your airspeed. Never over 250 when landing gear are out

hadnils - I didn't mean to make it sound as an insult or put down , I just found it funny that a Fighter Jet that has been out of service in the US Military for about 5 yrs is the top of the line for another country, F-16 Raptors are a very dangerous aircraft and can maneuver with the best but they would have trouble against the FY -23 Widow maker, they glide though the air like a Eagle in flight. They are also a Stealth aircraft and can maintain Stealth abilities at Super sonic speeds.

For the most part we use F-18s, FY23s and the all popular Stealth Bomber in most military situations , that is what the Military channel has aired. Unless your in the Military or you are a civilian that works on them please don't reply.

That's correct roadrunner304, you're in danger breaking the landinggear if you exceed 300kn with it extended.
the speed while landing is different after which load you are carrying. This is a F-16B, with two seats, with external fueltanks, so its heavy.
There are no problems having as low as 130kn at the point of touchdown either. Lower than that, you'll have problems keeping your AoA

The European F-16s are, despite their high age, top modern, with state of the art avionics and advanced weapon system.
In the USAF, the F-16 has never been a elite figher.
The RNoAF F-16s are actually produced under license in Belgum.
