Wes, it depends on what he's using it for and his style of play. if he wants to sit back and take a nap with his finger on the trigger, then yes, the stg is for him. However, if he's on a budget and is more of a run and gunner, than the mp40 should serve him fine. performance wise, though, for woodland settings the stg is superior

hey guys im stuck which gun to get its close to me what do you guys think mp40 or stg44

@THEFAILEDSOCIETY it all depends on what your looking for if you want a close combat weapon for a cheap price mp40 is for you, however if your looking for something that has more Fps, range, and realism i would go for the stg44 (it does cost about 100$ more though)

@THEFAILEDSOCIETY the stg44 is alot better built than the mp40 cause its full metel and it has a real wood stock (if you get the wood stock version). you can also get hi cap mags for the stg but not the mp40. if you want more mag capacity than 50 round you will have to go buy the king arms mp40 midcaps for like 50 bucks. i say go with the stg44

hey it's reid, the owner of the mp40 and the airsoft tech of the group. The mp40 has an out of box rof around 8 rounds per second with an 8.4v battery. It shoots out of the box around 330 with a .20 gram bb. You can pick it up for around $100.

The stg44 has a rof around 8 or 9 rounds per second with an 8.4v battery. It shoots about 410-420 with a .20 gram bb. It sells at around $200. I would recommend it over the mp40 for woodland play if you want some extra range.
