Loved the fights. My late parents loved the Oil Barons Ball ones a lot. Howard Keel was still pretty nimble to dive into the pool like that on many a fight.
Donna Reed was treated terribly by Larry Hagman and the producers of the show. Reed was an academy award wining actress and the former star of her own television show that ran for 9 years on ABC. She was more accomplished than all of the other perfomers combined.
00:41 the best part of this scene when Donna tells Ray "Ray, you have to do something" and Ray just has this looks on his face and his body language both saying "Geeeez, do I have to? Let my idiot brothers sort it out themselves" lol
I stay away from pools (or any wet surface) you can slip and tear your knee out easily. it gets really slippery around a pool and I have a bad knees. I'm allways carefull around wet surfaces.
@chr5210 JR takes Bobby to Ewing Oil where he plays a taped conversation with Cliff about "keeping Bobby & Pam apart since Jenna was now in prison." He took Ray & Donna along as witnesses & to keep him from killing JR - I guess. I actually got sick of Bobby beating the shit out of JR. Morally superior/sanctimonious Bobby & Pam lectured everyone about everything yet Bobby badly beats his own brother & Pam has an affair with Mark (& some other guy) while still married to Bobby. Hypocrites!
@redletter2008 I don't appreciate foul language. Shit is not allow to be used to typed in response in YouTube while on the internet and emails. It's the law. You could get arrested. It's crap. I actually got sick of Bobby beating the crap out of J.R. Is Bobby out of his mind? What the hell does Bobby doing fighting with J.R. like that? The hell that Bobby saying things crazy to threatening his brother J.R. while reading his newspaper! Damn you!
@chr5210 Excuse me? Is this in the least bit serious? You decry the use of "foul" language by posting a response containing more foul languange than the post you were so offended by. I was talking about Dallas, not about morals or rules on the internet. Also, anyone "offended" (actually or sarcastically) by "foul" language should not be on the internet at all. I guess I should have said that Bobby beat the baby food out of JR? Suggestions? Commentary? Judgements?
@redletter2008 It's the censorship of the law on television primetime soaps Dallas. The Seal of Good Practice Television Code is a safe way to help keep the viewers watch on television all ages safe as a family against that TV Ratings System, and it's unconstitutional as a lie. That means no profanity, sexuals, and bloodshed violence. No nothing! We'll against abusive harsh languages, that's all. And I don't give a damn.
It's quite funny how much they do fight!! Ray is always there to save the day! Course That's not the real JR , Larry always had a double!! Even to throw a punch he used a double x
FinnMove, I don't have any clips of Bobby after Pam leaves the show saved on my computer. I had them saved on my old laptop when it quit working BUT I didn't save them on CD.
I love how the music builds up to it, before bobby comes in

@rdm2000uva I was talking about the character of Donna Krebbs, who was Ray's wife. I have no problem with the actress Donna Reed.

What's with Donna saying to Bobby "what was that all about"? Why did Donna say that? What happened? What's going on during the fighting incident?

This was one hell of a fabulously fun scene! Watching Bobby beat the crap out of JR and get him completely soaked! What FUN!

@JRSueEllen, I agree with you 100% about Ray and Clayton being around conviently to break up fights between JR and Bobby. LOL

dokboy, I agree that Bobby's and JR'w wallet would have been soaken wet. LOL

This was a classic. But my favorite was when Clayton attacked J.R. and wound up falling down the steps at Southfork.

mdintino1420, I agree that the scene where Clayton attacked J.R. and wound up falling down the steps at Southfork was a great scene as well.

Another one of those famous pool fights ... and yes, JR got his just rewards! LOL ..

bunnyluv41, I agree that JR deserved the beating that Bobby gave to him. LOL

The funniest part is that every time someone is fighting in the pool or elsewhere, Ray, Clayton and even Jock had to break it up ...

bunnyluv41, I notice that as well that Ray, Clayton and even Jock had to break it up.

@bunnyluv41 Though sometimes it was Bobby who had to break up fights between Ray and JR.

After seeing this, I must concur that Mark went pretty easy on J.R. during Pam's nap.

bixbyglaser, I agree that Mark went pretty easy on JR during Pam's nap. I still don't like Pam and Mark as a pairing in season 8.
MrsBobbyJamesEwing 3 years ago
J.R. sent Pam to travel around the world
to find Mark Graison. I don´t like violence
but this time J.R. was punished with a good
reason.

FinnMove, I agree that JR was punched with good reason in this scene.

Thanks for your comment. But do you have
later Dallas series. Maybe they are not
equal, but Bobby ( your dream man I think )
had after Pam several parts of life later
for example April Stevens, of course,

Bobby could kick some major ass! I love how it took both big Clayton and Ray to pull him off J.R.
Bobby was at his absolute best at barroom brawls, though.
