I think is not about growing up. For me seems to be that what people miss from her is her lyrics. What they call "the old Avril" had lyrics with meaning, there were really deep topics that mekes you sit and think for a while. she was really awesome back then, such talent. But times change. Good bands like Oasis break up, Avril turned pop, and we have Bieber and Gaga as music symboys of this generation. Glad I was born before this.

You can tell that Avril is one of the best artist around because shes never compared to other artists. If you look on almost every other video someone mentions lady gaga or justin bieber! But not on Avrils videos! No one can compare to avril! :D

I don't understand...why do so many people perfer the "old" Avril. I love "old" avril bt I love her new style and new songs....I was suprised but not disapointed by her new song "What the hell" I mean it sounds nothing like her old songs, but I think it shows variety for avril ..like she can do whatever the hell she wants, I like that. I hate hw al "old" avril fans love her old stff bt nt hr new stuf...bt to b honest i think "new" avril is more like a Happy avril, she looks and sounds happy.
