This is a masterpiece of music - I was 13 yrs old when I heard that for the first time, in a tape of my bigger brother's - you can bet it blowed my mind:D
That tape had also "Lunar Musick Suite" and "hurdy gardy glisando" from "L"
- it's one of the tracks who made me who I am - eternal gratitude for this:D
An interesting fact for those who aren't very familiar with buddism. Fish represents a state of mind when someone isolates himself from the threats of life and isn't afraid of drowning in worries or sadness. This album represents a person who reached that state of mind and is now ready to face the world. Steve Hillage is my Buddha... =)
There appears to be a version of this called holy mystery that he played with the gong band on amazon and spotify. The album is called "Gong in the 70's", lot's of great live tracks with the classic line up. Thanks for the upload, one of my favourite Hillage songs.
I think Steve Hillage sounds a little spacy, an sounds like Ozric Tentacles too except it has singing in it, unlike the ozric tentacles..thats one of the main reasons why I like Steve hillage music
if it wern"t for the late 60"s, i don"t think musicians such as hillage would of dreamed up such magnificence as this album! totaly "awesome", nuff said!
