Actually it is about weed. Back when this episode was aired marijuana was still legal and was often used in cigarettes when it became illegal the episode was removed. There are version of the song where the word marijuana is replaced (for obvious reasons) but still cucaracha (like roach) was slang for marijuana... but like i said wasnt illegal at the time. If you dont believe you can watch episodes "Mexican Boarders" and "Gonzales' Tamales" (which is this one) from Speedy.
