@Tommyman1121 german is actually a lot less rough sounding than dutch. the guttural "ch" found in german "bach" and scottish "loch" occurs far more frequently in dutch than in german. another way to tell the languages apart is that the dutch pronounce "r" clearly at the ends of syllables (see: the narrator's pronunciation of "porsche") while most germans pronounce "r" almost like a short vowel in this position (so german "Bier" sounds closer to "bee-uh" than "beerrr")
