Because Nikko is running the other rabbis believe it was he who killed the rabbi....so they circle him but the evidence points to Ben (powder on his jacket) and so Ben is so scared that he takes esther as his hostage and Nikko tries to save her and gets shot. Esther reveals to the entire community
Nikko (during his fantastic lip syncing special) cuts himself with the knife he used as his microphone and she ends up healing him....revealing her true identity of the next balshem even tho she is a girl (which the community is not ready for) Nikko convinces her that he will keep her secret etc. Then everyone finds the old man is dead and Nikko knows it was Ben and runs to confront him!
Nikko plays a CD with the song - Try a little tenderness by Otis Redding. She starts to get a little uncomfortable so Nikko grabs a knife handle as a microphone and lip syncs it and she smiles and starts to actually enjoy herself.
Meanwhile..Ben comes into the room with the Rabbi and confronts him about not teaching him anything and being his best pupil etc. He then kills him for Dorna and runs away.
Ryan Merriman can sing 'Try a Little Tenderness' to me anyday :)
He rocks :) I love this show!! Wish it was still on though :(
