  • i hear townes van zandt's floutist

  • yes mr blaze...much better than bobby goldsboro.....rip my friend...

  • BFI Dumpsters stood for Blaze Foley inside. That was one of his jokes onstage at the Austin Outhouse.

  • This is from the same set as Snowing on Raton with Blaze and Townes. Same musicians, same background. Would have loved to have been present at that one. The good thing is that this vid remains so I can enjoy it.

  • @MerchantEyes yea man..that was a special night for music

  • Complete awesome- 5 and fave- RIP Blaze

  • OK!!!

That is Leland Waddell on drums,Janice Rogers on harmony vocals,Elliot Rogers on guitar,Blaze..well Blaze IS Blaze, and Don Ray on those 88's and Donnie on the flute.

  • Live Oak cemetery (Blaze's Grave)

I like to drink beer, hang out in the bars

    I don't like buses, I don't like cars

Don't like presidents Don't like stars

Never had stitches but I do got scars

I love to go to parties, I love my friends

Think I'm crazy but that depends

I don't seem that crazy to me.

  • yer all a bunch a dipshits. Sit back and enjoy the tunes.

  • omg this is him...my drama teacher told me about how he died...he waz his friend....that's pretty sad :(

    but nice video!

  • God bless ya Blaze, the 'ol duct tape messiah!

    Damn right brother.

    P.s.

why are you lot on here callin' each other silly schoolyard names 'dipshit''dumb-ass' etc etc.Yawn. Grow up.

Respect this man's music n' words for what they stood for and respect one n' all. That's the way Blaze played it y'all

  • A little bit of history is preserved for the next generation. R.I.P. Mr. Fuller. A Texas legend, murdered on the streets of Austin.

  • his real name is michael david fuller. you can delete your own silly comment now.

  • Blaze Foley didn't die on the street; he was killed at a friend's home, by the friend's son, who got off on a claim of self-defense. And, FWIW, this is not a clip from Austin City Limits. I don't think Blaze Foley ever appeared on ACL. Check out Lucinda Williams' "Drunken Angel" and Townes Van Zandt's "Blaze's Blues."

  • This is the original Austin City Limits. Blaze ranks right up there with Willie Nelson, Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff Walker, Gram Parsons, Townes Van Zandt and Lucinda Williams - Awesome Stuff.

  • Blaze is a GOD!!!!

  • Will be looking for this in the record shops tomorrow!

  • Good Luck it's been out of print for at least 20 years.

  • Wow! Too bad this still applies .... Thanks.

  • indeed it's a shame, nice vid, sweet song.

  • Awesome!
