This is from the same set as Snowing on Raton with Blaze and Townes. Same musicians, same background. Would have loved to have been present at that one. The good thing is that this vid remains so I can enjoy it.
That is Leland Waddell on drums,Janice Rogers on harmony vocals,Elliot Rogers on guitar,Blaze..well Blaze IS Blaze, and Don Ray on those 88's and Donnie on the flute.
Blaze Foley didn't die on the street; he was killed at a friend's home, by the friend's son, who got off on a claim of self-defense. And, FWIW, this is not a clip from Austin City Limits. I don't think Blaze Foley ever appeared on ACL. Check out Lucinda Williams' "Drunken Angel" and Townes Van Zandt's "Blaze's Blues."
This is the original Austin City Limits. Blaze ranks right up there with Willie Nelson, Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff Walker, Gram Parsons, Townes Van Zandt and Lucinda Williams - Awesome Stuff.
i hear townes van zandt's floutist

BFI Dumpsters stood for Blaze Foley inside. That was one of his jokes onstage at the Austin Outhouse.

Live Oak cemetery (Blaze's Grave)
I like to drink beer, hang out in the bars
I don't like buses, I don't like cars
Don't like presidents Don't like stars
Never had stitches but I do got scars
I love to go to parties, I love my friends
I got no books but I got book ends
Think I'm crazy but that depends
I don't seem that crazy to me.

A little bit of history is preserved for the next generation. R.I.P. Mr. Fuller. A Texas legend, murdered on the streets of Austin.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Hey dip-shit it's Foley, Fuller. You might want to know his name before you call him a legend.
