  • i had this vinyl album...do you know how much this album is worth !!!!! surprise

  • Gorgeous and so prescient, a magic electronic moment in history

  • ugh... Dirge of Cerberus...

    otherwise great job!

    Love FF VII though.

  • WoW... This is really out there and Trippy... I can hear those sounds circling around coming closer and then futher and deaper away the rotating closer again.

  • the psychedelic producers are tangerine dream and pink floyd then jean m jarr, then a 90s duo the future sound of london. all are best heard b4 u die if this rocks your world

  • hmmtotal neu hier wer mag oder will mit mir chattn der meldet sich ja ^^

  • Esta música es la mejor que hizo Tangerine Dream, precursora de muchas músicas de la actualidad. 5 estrellas.

  • You made it a very good video! You could work at a major film maker in Hollywood with your vid talent. Time enough ...

  • Those clips are from the Final Fantasy games.

  • Agree throttlelever, great video. trichoone really know how to use this music, TD music.Rather than using slow images, go contrary to the slow tempo of the music, creating an special video !!!!! Thanks trichoone

  • This record cured me from insomnia. No kidding.

  • Great Stuff I am also a big fan of Kraftwerk and Neu! . TD was so ahead of its time that i don't even think the Space Aliens knew what to make of this Music.

  • Isnt this a clip from FFVII the remake?

  • very very nice i think it was tangerine dream first album no to sure or second album brilliant my friend 100 stars ********

  • thanks echoes .

  • very wonderful animation video for this electronic composition of Tangerine dream

  • thankyou .

  • this is very nice brilliant i love it 5 stars*******

  • thankyou echoes

  • This is so Floydian, surely at the beginning, with that shaky Hammond. Really lot of Ummagumma-like moments.

  • superb video from tangerine dream i boelive was the first album not to sure guess what 5 stars for you*****

  • thanks echoes .

  • "Zeit" was T Dream's 3rd release from 1972.

This clip is actually the last few minutes of the album's first cut- "Birth of Liquid Plejades", with Froese (guitar), Franke and Baumann being joined by one time Dreamer Steve Schroyder (he was on their 2nd lp- "Alpha Centauri" on the Hammond organ.

By far the best Tangerine Dream lp..bar none.

  • hayzukreesto...their trippiest of all zeit

  • I have a rough time trying to pick a favorite TD album. But no problem, I have their first 20 albums plus the 2 live "bootleg" box sets. That's every album through Live Miles except the movie scores. They do great movie music but they can't do as much improvisation, and improve has always showed TD's genius. I do play Zeit fairly often. Upon close listen, there is really a lot going on in those 4 tracks. Great to just turn of the lights and take the journey!!!

  • Hi thegalxybeing

I see you are a TD expert, I'm looking for a TD track from 1980-81 wich sounds with a powerful electric guitar solo into a deep cave flowing over a solid electronic bass structure, that track was very used in publicity and radio programs

  • It's a little difficult trying to analyze TD tracks as they are so dynamic, however, The album "Force Majeure" from 1979 comes to mind and it had a good bit of guitar solos. (It also rocked a little more then usual. "Tangram" had one two part piece and is from 1980. 1981 had both "Exit" & The soundtrack LP "Thief" All four of these albums sounded different but I'm kinda leaning toward "Force Majeure. Now, if it was a short track then the 1981 albums are more likely. I hope this helped some.

  • Thanks a lot! thegalaxybeing, great information, it was very useful. Be fine!

  • nice job on gettin 20 of their albums, i cant even find one of them in the record stores i go to, i waned Zeit for the longest time

  • Had to buy all online. The most difficult (at the time) was "Force Majoure" & "Cyclone" although they have been available since. Used to have most on LP, but a lot of my records were stolen back in 1993.

  • damn i hate buying online, it takes the fun outta finding something that is obscure in stores.......diamond in the rough.

  • very Good!!

    Nice!!

  • Zeit after Alpha Centauri are my best's :)

  • yeah,I like FFs and Star ocean...Theyre GREAT jRPGs.Also,They have great composers(All japanese).I wonder what could hapenned when TD would compose music for these games.

  • Musik gut, aber mit dem Video kann ich nicht viel anfangen.

  • A Masterpiece of electronic music of ever ... TD in the sky with Diamonds !

  • Nice. Good band, good games. I've always liked FFs, because their good games, and being stoned doesn't effect how good you are at it:)

  • this music feels like a religious experience...

  • krikey :the situation is well-nigh sufficiently bizarre if i may be thus bold...

  • What has happened to the original Zeit Album, this is strange mix ??!!! saw TD live in 1976 in Amsterdam , only their first 5 albums are ok

  • well, for a modern TD piece, this is appealing; sophisticated arrangement (Cubase?) with a good, full character and some originality; excellent drum programming; always with an eye on getting that film-music contract of course! but you can't stay a starving alternative artist forever!!

  • It is a shame that Tangerine Dream did not produce sci-fi music in the well-known movies such as Aliens, Bladerunner and Terminator. They would have done a much better job!

  • They are not from America, that was the reason. In America even Ennio Morricone was paid less than the worst American film composers.

  • I love Final Fantasy, I love Tangerine Dream, I love Zeit... but somehow I just feel FF doesn't fit well here, just my opinion.

  • no thats fair enough it gets harder finding footage to put to these vids of mine this felt right at the time of making anyway thanks for your comment and keep watching -trichoone .

  • keybwizzard....shhhttttttt!!!!!!! Shut up your mouth and listen this masterpiece in silence.

  • Aeit has been my favourite album since I was 15. I'm 33 now.

  • why were you searching for tangerine dream videos if you just don't understand their music and know nothing of psychedelic sound.

  • awesome track, cheers mate, but this final fantasy malarkey is outta control ....

  • thanks for your comment 2pz there is a lot of FF about i know but its footage seems to fit all catagory's of vids .

  • cual es el tema de cadenas de amargura la telenovela

  • Final Fantasy? God that is so lame.

  • some you win some you lose .

  • Music is emotions and feelings.

Who can be more emotional than TD and PF?

Look at the instruments they played in the '70s and tell youg people what was the REAL electronic music.

Players are more important than instruments...

  • yes i agree you, contrand: players are more important than instruments. give david gilmour a guitar and give the same guitar to another person. that's also the same thing with electr(on)ic instruments (organs, synths, tapes, softwares, ...).

in music, what is important is only the emotional result, not the instruments.

  • Yet another Phenomenal TD track. Been a fan for almost 25 years now. Great post. Keep em coming trichoone

  • This is another band that shows how clueless pop culture is. TD is great. They've been making incredible music for DECADES. But, if you ask someone if they remember the EL Train music from Risky Business, they'll say yes. Then, if you ask them who TD is they have no clue.

  • well i went to my local HMV music store looking for new TD releases and they didn't stock anything belonging them , how bad IS THAT ?.

  • mp3sparkssearch.shtml?search=tangerine+dream&sg=1&sa=1&ss=1&result=ON&range=all&searchaud=yes&rezult=ON&x=21&y=2

  • try Fopp, they had about 12 in there the other week....mostly for £3 each

  • I've been a huge TD fan since I was young (was officially the youngest memeber of their now non-existent International Fan Club) - and tracks like these bring back memories! It's so difficult for me to pick a single best album...

  • TD's Muisic is very atmospheric i have been a fan since hearing Rubycon for the first time in the seventies but even today i bet there are people who have never heard of them and people my age aswell .

  • I think "Zeit" is one of the best albums TD recorded. Is it their second album? The music reminds me of Pink Floyd; the way they sounded in the early 70's

  • Well Floyd an TD are up there together in my eyes .

  • eS UN EXCELENTE video

  • Thankyou

  • The sound of this swirling organ..and the clip...very imaginative and haunting.

  • zeit, one of the greatest albums of TD

  • one of the greatest album ever

  • its amazing to think how far fro anolog syth to modern day computers these guys have come

  • Then you should check out Kraftwerk if you got time ;)
