WoW... This is really out there and Trippy... I can hear those sounds circling around coming closer and then futher and deaper away the rotating closer again.
the psychedelic producers are tangerine dream and pink floyd then jean m jarr, then a 90s duo the future sound of london. all are best heard b4 u die if this rocks your world
Agree throttlelever, great video. trichoone really know how to use this music, TD music.Rather than using slow images, go contrary to the slow tempo of the music, creating an special video !!!!! Thanks trichoone
Great Stuff I am also a big fan of Kraftwerk and Neu! . TD was so ahead of its time that i don't even think the Space Aliens knew what to make of this Music.

I would love to do a cover version of this; I once did a meditation of this, and got a vision of a silver sphere in the room where i was meditating, bujt it was like so tangible.
This clip is actually the last few minutes of the album's first cut- "Birth of Liquid Plejades", with Froese (guitar), Franke and Baumann being joined by one time Dreamer Steve Schroyder (he was on their 2nd lp- "Alpha Centauri" on the Hammond organ.
I have a rough time trying to pick a favorite TD album. But no problem, I have their first 20 albums plus the 2 live "bootleg" box sets. That's every album through Live Miles except the movie scores. They do great movie music but they can't do as much improvisation, and improve has always showed TD's genius. I do play Zeit fairly often. Upon close listen, there is really a lot going on in those 4 tracks. Great to just turn of the lights and take the journey!!!
I see you are a TD expert, I'm looking for a TD track from 1980-81 wich sounds with a powerful electric guitar solo into a deep cave flowing over a solid electronic bass structure, that track was very used in publicity and radio programs
It's a little difficult trying to analyze TD tracks as they are so dynamic, however, The album "Force Majeure" from 1979 comes to mind and it had a good bit of guitar solos. (It also rocked a little more then usual. "Tangram" had one two part piece and is from 1980. 1981 had both "Exit" & The soundtrack LP "Thief" All four of these albums sounded different but I'm kinda leaning toward "Force Majeure. Now, if it was a short track then the 1981 albums are more likely. I hope this helped some.
Had to buy all online. The most difficult (at the time) was "Force Majoure" & "Cyclone" although they have been available since. Used to have most on LP, but a lot of my records were stolen back in 1993.
yeah,I like FFs and Star ocean...Theyre GREAT jRPGs.Also,They have great composers(All japanese).I wonder what could hapenned when TD would compose music for these games.
well, for a modern TD piece, this is appealing; sophisticated arrangement (Cubase?) with a good, full character and some originality; excellent drum programming; always with an eye on getting that film-music contract of course! but you can't stay a starving alternative artist forever!!
It is a shame that Tangerine Dream did not produce sci-fi music in the well-known movies such as Aliens, Bladerunner and Terminator. They would have done a much better job!
no thats fair enough it gets harder finding footage to put to these vids of mine this felt right at the time of making anyway thanks for your comment and keep watching -trichoone .

That's not music, it's only sick noise. Wanna hear real genius tracks? Watch Karn evil 9 or Hoedown from ELP, thats is brilliance and genius and ability in perfection, but not this boring warehouse-background-synth-mud.
yes i agree you, contrand: players are more important than instruments. give david gilmour a guitar and give the same guitar to another person. that's also the same thing with electr(on)ic instruments (organs, synths, tapes, softwares, ...).
in music, what is important is only the emotional result, not the instruments.
This is another band that shows how clueless pop culture is. TD is great. They've been making incredible music for DECADES. But, if you ask someone if they remember the EL Train music from Risky Business, they'll say yes. Then, if you ask them who TD is they have no clue.
I've been a huge TD fan since I was young (was officially the youngest memeber of their now non-existent International Fan Club) - and tracks like these bring back memories! It's so difficult for me to pick a single best album...
TD's Muisic is very atmospheric i have been a fan since hearing Rubycon for the first time in the seventies but even today i bet there are people who have never heard of them and people my age aswell .
I think "Zeit" is one of the best albums TD recorded. Is it their second album? The music reminds me of Pink Floyd; the way they sounded in the early 70's
i had this vinyl album...do you know how much this album is worth !!!!! surprise

By far the best Tangerine Dream lp..bar none.

They are not from America, that was the reason. In America even Ennio Morricone was paid less than the worst American film composers.

Music is emotions and feelings.
Who can be more emotional than TD and PF?
Look at the instruments they played in the '70s and tell youg people what was the REAL electronic music.
Players are more important than instruments...
