hmm, im not all that impressed with her setting technique. She contacts the ball way too low, she should take it much higher, and you don;t cover up your attackers after setting it.. the sets are pretty consistent though, her backwards set looks pretty nice
really i think its weird and more difficult if u set it too high above ur head. the lower u take the ball, the closer it is to ur bodies center of gravity. using leggs and hands, setter can gain a good control and easily set those extra high passes

hmm yeah i think you're partially right about the center of the body. theoratically you should gain control.
But the advantages of setting from a higher point is you're playing faster, because you touch the ball earlier, and its easier faking a first tempo set/dump/backwards set etc.
Plus the lower you take the ball, the bigger the risk of getting called for (i have no idea what it is called in USA :P ) what we call carrying, or second contact..
