I think she's really good-for a pop star. Most pop singers can't sing like that. She has a okt voice, not as strong as Mandy, but very different.. I like her interpretation of the song, I like her "gee Nina...what'll you be?" but I also think at times she can be a bit whiney- and she's not that good an actor, and that really affect her preformance. She is good but I prefer Mandy. But they both bring very different sides to the role, and are both very good in their own-different ways.

@Hairsprayxoxoful And just to explain. Her acting ablility is mediocre at best and her voice may be powerful bu the quality doesn't fit that of Elphaba. Elphaba's ideal voice (at least to me) is powerful, yet can go from a light quality (when she's young and innocent) to a darker quality (when she's adult elphaba) and I really don't see Jordin being able to do that.

She's more age appropriate for the song, but in theater that doesn't really matter unless the person looks about 50. Mandy Gonzalez puts more emotion into the song from her facial expressions and such, but I could see Jordin doing it and I would watch if Mandy wasn't there.

jordin sparks has a hauntingly beautiful voice, but she isn't an actress & that takes away from the performance. i saw her live back in november & her bad acting definitely took away from the experience. i love her & could listen to her for days, but just because you have a beautiful voice doesn't necessarily mean you're cut out for Broadway.

All she was saying was that Jordin could use some acting lessons, because this song is meant to be much more intense then her acting and body language let out.

Seeing someone like Jordan Sparks on Broadway just makes me kind of sad. It's not that she doesn't have talent, just that, frankly, she's not a particularily strong actress and she doesn't have the technique to really pull off a long-term show. It's only upsetting because there are young, extremely talented, unknown actors and actressess working themselves to death trying to get parts that are being handed to people like Miss Sparks who spent a few months on a game show to "earn her fame"...

@BandNerd06Forever I would normally agree but in this case I'll say it was better casting than the original. Mind you, I'm a Broadway actor. I think Jordin was excellent and the perfect type. For once I feel the casting director and producers got it right. In the case of her Benny is where they made a mistake. Nina should be young, intelligent and ambitious. That IS Jordin! Not to mention her voice is DOPE!!!

@NumaNoel she is not. You can see her throat move up and down. Justin bieber or Britney lip sync. You cant pull off lip syncing in a theater, the sound would reflect and echo. You can also see her abdomen expand and detract when she is singing, and no one can do it that good if they lip sing, and one more point, when you "gee" its a one syllable word, so it doesn't take much mouth movement, or breath since it was a 2 beat hold.

I think she looks like a "Nina", my problem with her is that she is playing a Hispanic character, and while I admit, she has a lovely voice, I can't help but compare her with the original Nina. With the original I was able to notice a slight Hispanic accent, and with Spark I know she isn't.... But yeah, I like it.
