The board of the Whitehead Institute for Biological Research are descendants of the same fanatic Eugenicist Whitehead who had thousands of women forcibly sterilized in the early 1900's. I could go on. In any case, they're already close to finished; they've been going at it for 20 years, after all.

Naw. Science itself is neutral. .. but it's goodness depends on who is at the helm. Science could be a spectacular expression of the evolution of human consciousness. I believe it will be someday - but only when we fix the problem of right-brain crippling. Then more people will be able to see the bigger picture in context, in the whole... most people have a compartmentalized linear world view (as a result of their Rockefeller factory-model schooling). It's very unfortunate.
But I must insist on the distinction between eugenics and genetics: The former was the product of unprofessional, unethical and unscientific political agendas with little or no understanding of how genetics actually works. The latter is the result of professional, ethical and scientific research, with well-understood and practical medical applications.
So what you're saying is that the same people (with the same name, same sources of funding) in the same line of scientific research - have had a change of heart. It's generous of you. And you do seem to be a nice person.
Of course they didn't understand back then how genetics actually work. They know now. And the funding comes from the same trusts (Rockefeller - Lucis) that funded eugenics back then - and biotech and pharmaceutical research now. I'm not watching too much Zeitgeist.
You're right that the old lines of power and money still exist behind the scenes, but whatever "social darwinism" (I use this term with distaste, because it had nothing to do with Darwin's work) the old families originally subscribed to, is unlikely to have survived to the modern day. The economic world has seen three generations and as many ideological revolutions since the days of eugenics, and I would be extremely dubious of any ulterior motives besides accruing money and power.

We will be allowed to use them. We will have free energy. Everyone will eat. But we must NOT accept corporate ownership of the field of Genetics research.
I must profess ignorance here, because I haven't researched the things you have. But keep it up, because we need watchdogs to keep the powerful in line. Just don't reject everything genetics has to offer for fear of whoever's paying for it, or we'll never get anywhere. =)

Darwins beliefs in sexual reproduction was based on his Pangenes theory wich was disproven by Francis Galton. It is actually Mendels law of inheritance that is the synthesis of modern genetics. The current belief & backbone of evolutionary change among others is, random mutations. Random as defined by dictionary is having no purpose etc

This is the same site of the former Eugenics Research Office, started in 1910 by the Harriman family. They databased "undesirables", "socially inept", "unfit to breed", and "genetically inferior" people to be forcibly sterilized. Over 30 states then adopted mandatory sterilization policies. Over 90% of those sterilized were blacks.
That's the truth.

I don't think that you can tag the Genome Project with whatever prejudices that Watson may have had. I did the c/p from the Project's own webpage. I don't understand your remark about the HGP and the Eugenics Research Office having the same site; the ERO was closed in 1944.
I'm not here to cover for the ERO; it was a ghastly mistake, IMO. But you are going to have to make a case for your claim. Show me where the HGP, not just its 15 years ago leader, is practicing a "racist agenda".

The Human Genome Project is a big step towards helping biologists and physicians improve the quality of life for everyone. My own grandmother was forcibly sterilized in the early 30's. She wanted so much to have her own children. She eventually adopted. Naw. Science itself is neutral. .. but it's goodness depends on who is at the helm. Science could be a spectacular expression of the evolution of human consciousness. I believe it will be someday - but only when we fix the problem of right-brain crippling. Then more people will be able to see the bigger picture in context, in the whole... most people have a compartmentalized linear world view (as a result of their Rockefeller factory-model schooling). It's very unfortunate.

But I must insist on the distinction between eugenics and genetics: The former was the product of unprofessional, unethical and unscientific political agendas with little or no understanding of how genetics actually works. The latter is the result of professional, ethical and scientific research, with well-understood and practical medical applications.

Of course they didn't understand back then how genetics actually work. They know now. And the funding comes from the same trusts (Rockefeller - Lucis) that funded eugenics back then - and biotech and pharmaceutical research now. I'm not watching too much Zeitgeist.

You're right that the old lines of power and money still exist behind the scenes, but whatever "social darwinism" (I use this term with distaste, because it had nothing to do with Darwin's work) the old families originally subscribed to, is unlikely to have survived to the modern day. The economic world has seen three generations and as many ideological revolutions since the days of eugenics, and I would be extremely dubious of any ulterior motives besides accruing money and power.

Apologies for the Zeitgeist gibe; the Rockefeller/depopulation conspiracy is popular in that circle, and I assumed that was where you had heard of it.
I'm not trying to tell you that big corporations are to be trusted, I'm just extremely skeptical of a conspiracy to global genocide. If there are negative consequences of genetics, it would be subtle and social in nature: designer babies, sports controversies, job requirements, that sort of thing. I'm more inclined to keep an eye on the pharm's.

...i actually learned about the bigger picture gradually, over a few years. It began with one book about 8 years ago... ' The Underground History of American Education' by John Taylor Gatto. It discusses how our education model actually was based on military training of Prussian soldiers/mercenaries. The model was brought to the US by Rockefeller and Morgan (to train US children to be 'good workers') - They helped develop the Dept. of Ed. That book led to others - hundreds of books, documents.

I am one who does believe in purpose in life and living things however I have to disagree with on your percpective of purpose being a part of modern evolution. Darwins beliefs in sexual reproduction was based on his Pangenes theory wich was disproven by Francis Galton. It is actually Mendels law of inheritance that is the synthesis of modern genetics. The current belief & backbone of evolutionary change among others is, random mutations. Random as defined by dictionary is having no purpose etc
