I have this same bug in the frontlines and crysis. This is not problem with you graphic card but this is problem with yours ATI softwars. You need only download new drivers to graphic this help me with problem in Frontliness and Crysis.

if anything switch to a 4850... a 4850 has almost no problems and is beter then a 3870X2 and is cheaper. and also beter thena 9800GTX ULTRA.

actually the HD3870X2 and HD4850 is quite even in performance... weired thing is... the HD4850 wins in higher resolutions oddly enough... since the HD3870X2 has 1gb of ram and the (stock) HD4850 has 512mb

My friend got a 3870X2, made computer crash. RMA'd it, replacement same bug. Worked fine when we tried my 9800GX2, so his rig is ok. Dunno if it's just shoddy workmanship on the manufacturers part, but he's kinda tired of waiting for his rig to get up and running.
