  • lol, surprisingly good ;)

  • Blimey, Cowell has literally been punishing us with rubbish from as far back as 1982 :(

  • Lyrics?

    Nah...

  • Harry Thumann

  • wow!! this song makes me even want to lick my balls!!!

  • The best thing Simon Cowell did.

  • Nice lyric

  • i remember this from yrs back , its mega awesome

  • i remember this from yrs back , its mega awesome

  • hads this on record as a kid my god i loved it

  • dopo 30 anni sono riuscita a ritrovarla grazieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • this was simon cowell in the beginning of his career

  • @MrCheater0 this was his career being a judge of other people doesnt count

  • in memory of my WONDERDOG WILLIS 13.12.90-05.05.05 BEST ROTTWEILER FROM SPACE!LOVE YOU 4EVER!

  • ERA LA SIGLA DEL PROGRAMMA "COLOSSEUM" IN ITALIA!!

    HO IL 45 GIRI ORIGINALE!

  • My wife's parents' dog used to go berserk when we played this one, especially the barking section in the middle. In loving memory of Rex 1981-1994.

  • Barking up the wrong tree!

  • This is only the ruff mix, did they have a final version?

  • simon bates used to play this all the time on Radio 1 when he did his morning show back in 1982

  • a song my mum used 2 listen 2 wen she was younger lol propa funny lol

  • this is one of my all time favorites and my dog used to love it as well . but it is so hard to find a copy of this record my copy was nicked unfortunatly along with a load of led zepplin and other stuff i got from my older sister some stuff you cant replace unfortunatly.

  • Actually the song was the brain child of German Harry Thumann who had previously been responsible for a chart track called underwater. Simon Cowell did however wear the dog suit because he needed the money and was just starting out and low down in the music industry ... there is video of him somewhere wearing it on Multi Coloured Swap Shop

  • Classic favorite of the Goober Brothers...

  • haha!! my dad used to play this full blast when the neighbours dogs started barking! happy memories!! thanks for posting!!

  • Fantastic tune from my childhood days..........almost forgotten about it. Thanks for putting this on!

  • i used to annoy me poor dad with this when i was little lol

  • Thanks for sharing that track. It has quite a value for my childhood memories :) . I remember there was a clip of it too :)

  • Simon Cowell was Wonderdog! XD This is why rich celebrities need time machines, to erase their past.

  • Hahahaha i was doing a mobile disco with a m8 in the 80s and me m8 used to hate it when i put this on , it was a class tune

  • HA,HA. I won a copy of an 8" single of Wonderdog at a Christmas Fair back in about 85. The tune was slightly different to this, not by much though. Anyone got a link for me???

I also got a Wonderdog shield with it that squirted water from the centre??? I'm only finding out now that Simon Cowell was behind it all, which doesn't suprise. If you ask me he has taken a step back, his new act Wonderhorse (Leona Lewis) hasn't got the star quality of Wonderdog.

  • @StockySocks i will buy that record from you if you still have it

  • @HoraceHam Is this Simon Cowell trying to erase his past? :) A lot of my old vinyl has gone missing over the years, I think my nephew has been floggin' them on the sly. Little git. I'll have a look through whats left the next time I'm back in my parents house and see if I can find it. Dont get your hopes up, I haven't seen it in about 20 years.

  • @StockySocks if you can find thats great. If not, it doesn't matter, im sure someone somewhere is enjoying it!

  • Simon Bates used to do a wonderdog story over the top of this song on his radio 1 show - Probably be arrested now for cruelty to pretend dogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i'd have wonderdog over rap music any day.

  • It got to No 31 Summer`82.I have a copy. Was 15 at the time. The follow up "An XMAS Tail" failed to chart.

  • I think this is great, I used to run a pub in Norwood and this was on the jukebox....while the box was playing random this song came on and I remember it so well. Love it....

  • i wonder what Simon Cowell thinks to this now -_-

  • It made him famous - yes it made him a star.

What does David Bowie think of laughing knome?

  • The 'Laughing Gnome' is a great record. This is a pile of doo!

  • I think this song is funny. I discovered it in 1992 when i was round my friend's house next door and came across the record, but her record player did not have a stylus. She finally got one and said to me to listen to the record show had on and I just burst out laughing, so told her to turn it up to see if my boxer dog had any interest in it to see if he barked also thinking a dog was about. He never took any interest!lol!, it wasn't a real dog though so that prolly was the problem!lol!.

  • If I was a DJ I'd say before playing it "Hold onto your dogs!".

  • can anyone translate the barks into english please?

  • lol!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D.

  • SIMON COWELL did this!

  • that explains A LOT!

  • I did a cover version of this once :-)

  • This song is fun, but, barking mad, great memories.

  • Sadly I even remember the "dance" (paws?)!!!

  • jajajaja

    yo lo tengo

  • I had this too!

And there was another song on it as well, anyone knows where to find it?

  • It was called "Living on a Farm", can't find it though!!

  • it got to number 31 in the uk charts

  • This. Is. 1982.

You know, it's better than the most of the current music we have.

  • ahh this song is friggin addicting

  • Comment removed

  • Imagine if someone brought their dog onto Britain's got talent & the dog performed to this song hehe. I love this, it's catchy!!!!

  • Wonder what Simon's face would look like?!lol!!.

  • I have to admit that I used to own this tune on Vinyl when I was about 8 years old!!! lol

  • someone should go on american idol and sing this shit lmao

  • Yeah no kidding! Imagine the look on Simon's face. I also wonder how he might criticize or insult someone who sang this song.

  • This song is terrible yet strangely addicting.

  • Thank god I wasn't subjected to this when I was a kid, it must not have been popular in the US, never heard it before.

  • no it wasnt, it was in the top 40 in UK though

  • I'm not gonna lie... this is pretty damn catchy.

    O_O

  • lol i just seen this on tmz wtf lol

  • Well this explains a lot.

  • SIMON COWELL SUCKS AT SINGING

  • Simon Cowell

  • minchia troppo forte me la ricordo !

  • oh yeah i remember this great

  • Aridatece Colosseum! :-)

  • hahaha

  • i watched - simon cowell where did it all go right? and that him in the dog costume!!

  • Simon cowell before he was famous is in the dog costume in the video for this song. FACT!

  • True, although it doesn't say much for his talent that he was only miming ;-)

  • oh my god!!!!!! this was my first ever record!!!! im only 23 and my dad bought it for me and i loved it!!

  • How can your dad have bought it for you if you are only 23? It came out in 1982! Which by anyone's guess was well before you were born! I was 10 when it came out and it was the first record I ever bought. It cost 75p In Woolworths. ;-)

  • Well i didnt mean FOR me but i got it when i was wee and it was my first ever record!! Sorry i was a bit drunk when i was goin through all these old songs and i must have got carried away lol

  • Not to worry! It happens to the best of us! ;-)

  • so? records don't magically disappear after they are put out for sale.

  • Steven, TANMYSHELL has already explained what she meant. So what was the point of your comment to me for?

  • damn i feel old listening to this again!

  • Ahhh... can someone write the lyrics please ?

I would like to try this one at the local Karaoke bar :-)

  • ruff ruff?

  • This is actually quite good for a novelty record :)

  • i hate you jelly

  • finalmente l ho trovata sta canzone!!!!

  • omg, what memories this brings back lmao

  • Mi ricordo un'altra canzone uguale a questa, nessuno si rocorda?

I REMEMBER A SIMILAR SONG BY THE SAME

    GROUP, ANYONE KNOW THE NAME?

  • la sigla di Colosseum

  • doggy doggy 1975

  • the first record i saved up my pocket money to buy !

  • This was the first record I ever bought. And I still remember the B-Side called 'Living On A Farm' with a fantastic guitar solo in it.

They don't make fun songs like this anymore. Which is a pity as all they think of now is how to make everything commercialised. Yuk!

  • thats what i was saying to my mum the other day. im 19 now and i always used to listen to that when i was little and it was so catchy! :D

quite experimental too. nice little songs :)

  • Yes Living on a farm was very good. I played that more than this side

  • The barking was not so frequent, but still good!lol!.

  • i wonder if Simon Cowell admits to this nowadays

  • I used to love this when i was about 5 yrs old. I still have it vinyl

  • God didn t think I d find this on here got this on the old vinyl stuff !!!!!! how old

  • fuck,i feel old!

  • so stupid, that becomes good! lol :)

  • You had to be there, and ideally about 4 years old but it's still great stuff from the early days of sampling.

  • This song is, quite literally, the dogs bollocks.

  • @MeMeMeMeMeMeMeMeAndU Dogs Dinner more like.

  • @MeMeMeMeMeMeMeMeAndU you're a dog bollocks.
