We were using fly rods, intermediate lines and the following flies- Fiery Dancer, Yellow Dancer and White Cat's Whisker.
The intermediate lines allow us to fly fish mid water (rather than surface or bottom) and the "flies" (as the fisher draws his line back in) imitate small hatching insects or fish fry rather than actual "flies".
As the weather warms and there is more insect life hatching, our action will move to the top of the water with floating lines and dry flies.
nice fish mate what loch was it and a damsel is always a reliable fly for that time of year aswell as the silver invicter on the dropped.
