Are you Canadian? I'm from Toronto and I REALLY want to go to Columbia, but I don't think I'll get in. I'm applying this year (by January 1st) and I don't think I have the grades - I got a 600 on one of the SAT subject tests and half of my grades are 86-89 (not over 90) :'(
@FadedFaeries68 Nope, I'm American. Good luck! I think that if you show your passion through your essays you'll stand a good chance. Being active in your community and having a wide range of extracurriculars will help as well!
@jiwonx21 haha yeah they're exactly that, "ehh". I hope you get in! Columbia will be awesome, and I'm sure you can spice up your dorm enough that it won't ruin your college experience!
@jiwonx21 I don't know much about the ivy leagues, but all three of those colleges seem a little overrated. Columbia is perfect for you if you love the nyc city life and don't mind the small campus.
@JsAMMyrOX it sounds like a ridiculous thing to bring, but it was going to be a present to my Korean host family, you know, like a pancakes and syrup kind of thing because they don't really have that there.
That sucks about the whole maple syrup thing.. :( but the Dorms aren't too bad not very cozy but a few posters and decorations would change that!!! :)

heyy UM has those water-saving toilets everywhere too. except in our dorms. that sucks about the syrup.
