  • I love your humor man....And i love your skills! you did an awesome job!

  • @KwoliToli Thanks! Make sure that you watch my much newer series on car washing. Some things have changed and this is my old version.

  • Yea the two bucket washing I am looking at them. Very good stuff!! Dont delete the old stuf though i like to see the progression of ideas and the more videos the better for absorbing the wisdom. BTW i got a vette c5 convertible, its beutiful , how do you knock out the dirt grim on the paint close to the wheel wells it touph to come out with mitt do you suggest like a sponge with fishskin material.? thanks in advance.

  • @dannydsgcrazy You NEVER use a sponge on your paint unless you want to scratch it to hell. For stuff like that, you use CLAY.

  • Junkman YOu the man i dont subscribe to any channels but i did with yours thank you for your time and wisdom. YOu are the best detailer and a hell of a guy!. YO brotha from anotha motha.

  • @dannydsgcrazy Thanks Danny, I'm humbled by you post. Thanks for the comments. By the way, this is my old wash series. I now have a newer and improved wash series. You should check it out.

  • To dam black to sound so white

  • @redrumrill1 It's not called "sounding white", it's called being educated. If you surround yourself with enough of it, people will believe what it is that you have to say because you can do so in a clear and comprehensive manner.

  • Junkman:

Doesn't 3D actually make the products for Adams?

  • @ww2717 I have never heard of 3D. Do you have a source for your information? There are so many unfounded rumors floating around.

  • What made you switch from Zanio to Adams? I am still using Zanio and am leary of switch because Adams has so many products. Also I was under teh impression that Zanio had to be hand applied? Thanks your Friend Jay.

  • @imjaybird I didn't switch from Zaino, I still have Zaino products in my garage. I use Adam's products because they work and are easier to teach with. If you think that Adam's has a lot of products to choose from, then you have obviously not watched the right video series. You need to join me over at Adam's Forums or send me a email so that I can direct you to the right videos. Adam's stuff is so easy to use that I had an 8 year old kid sit through one of my clinics and then recite the process.

  • @imjaybird The stuff is dummy proof. If you can put gas in a car, you can use Adam's. It so easy, a cave baby can use them!

  • I have the worst of worst situations. I have no garage. so i use a car cover. my water faucet is in my backyard..and there's no way in hell a hose can reach to the front. So i bought a pressurized water bottle/spray..the ones u pump up to get pressure as my water source. you think that's good enough?I do get my car washed once a week at a hand job place (no pun intended), but in between the washes i like to wash, clean it myself before tucking it in at night.any tips, or products u can recommend?

  • @69BuffDaddy What you are asking me to do is advise you on how to wash your car other than the way that I have posted. If you want your car to not suffer any damage during the wash process, the way you see me do it in my videos is the only way that can be done. I cannot give you any advice on doing it any other way as that would be contradictory to the way I feel it should be done. There is no shortcut. You either do it right, or accept the fact that you will incur damage during your wash.

  • @69BuffDaddy Look into the Adam Waterless Wash.

  • You sir, are the american man's man. Attention to detail with some good grillins on the side.

  • @Horn0816 lol! Thanks man!

  • junkman your other vidoes, you used adam's product and on this video you used meguiar's product based on your experience which of the two is more effective and really makes your job easier?

  • @mijek

I found no difference in the performance of both lines of product. Meguiar's offers a lot of different products but that also leads to the confusion that users have when introduced to their product line. Then there's Meguiar's OTC junk. Basically, I only use the Adam's products or the Meguiar's Mirror Glaze or 3M line if that is best for the damage I'm repairing. Ninety percent of what I do can be done with Adam's.

  • Thanks for the video Junkman, I've been going through them all...one question. I used a PC for the first time last night and applied Meguiar's NXT 2.0 wax/sealant. After smearing the wax around I only used the PC on "1" the entire time. I thought w/ wax u just needed to spread the wax around, not work it in per say like a polish to address paint issues. Can you clarify why you need to work the wax in? Thx.

  • @bster13

Where did you get the notion that you have to work it in? I would set the PC on a speed of 3 to spread the wax though. At one, you are not doing much spreading of anything.

Another thing, if you prefer Meguiar's products, then you should invest in their professional line of product which are marketed under the Mirror Glaze label. That OTC junk is for kids. Meguiar's Mirror Glaze line has some outstanding products that address a multitude of issues. I keep some in my garage.

  • hey Junkman, I love your videos..could you make a video showing how to wax your car by using fingertips to apply the wax and buffing off by hand ?

  • @pumpkinzer0

Thanks, but that is not something I do. No product I use is required to be applied that way.

  • @Junkman2000 ok np, its just ive seen photos of pro detailers waxing this way, but never seen anyone using tat method live/video

  • Thinner is Better for those reading this.

  • @l4l2l0l

I didn't make that clear enough in the videos?

  • I dont know. I work by hand especially with wax. A lot harder to master than machine waxing/polishing =)

  • One question, ur using Meguieres product at first but why not use Meguires polish as well?

  • @Lumixster

This is an old video series where I was using Meguiar's and Zaino's products. I now use the Adam's line. You need to check out my new series featuring those products.

  • your great junkman i use the same prosess when i detail my 2006 pontiac g6 v6 oh and tell me a little about your beautiful blue angel

  • Actually, you've found my old wash and wax series. Have you seen the new one? It is much more in depth.

  • I'm just wondering what you're supposed to do after you finish with the pads. How do you wash them?

  • First, you're watching a very old series I did back some time ago. I have a newer, more improved series now featuring Adam's products.

As for your pads, I have a 5-video series that shows exactly how I care for them.

  • Curious to know why you didn't hit the light scratches with McGuire's Medium Cut first and then the Fine Cut?

  • I didn't think that those scratches warranted going with that abrasive of a compound. Had I been using a Flex orbital polisher and a orange pad, those scratches would have come out with one pass.

  • also can you use the zaino with hand instead if the 7424?

  • Read the paragraph just above your post.

  • hey junkman, just got my car and im gonna be waxing it for the first time, it has some light scratches. What are all the products i will need and about how much will they cost? Also do you prefer carnuba or synthetic wax?

  • If you look at the videos, I not only state which products I use but I also hold them up to the camera so that you can see what the bottles look like. Did you actually watch the videos?

  • Yea i did, so do you only use the polishes? no wax? Also can you use the zaino products by hand instead of with a porter cable?

  • No, I did not use wax in this demo. However, Zaino gives you the same results as wax does if what you're looking for is a shiny, protective finish. Zaino is a polish which some people mistakenly call a wax because they do the same thing, only the application and end result are different. You usually put 1 coat of wax on a car and there is a order that you follow when using waxes. With Zaino, you can switch the process up, go back and forth between products and put as many coats on as you want.

  • You can use Zaino by hand but I would only do that if my paint was in swirl and scratch free condition. However, you can't duplicate the results that you get with a polisher in the same amount of time when doing it by hand. Also, I'm no spring chicken so doing a car by hand wears out my ball and socket joint. The last time I did a car by hand, my shoulder literally hurt for weeks. Now I only do the areas of the car by hand that the buffer can't reach.

  • lol!

  • Yo! Covah ya plate Braaahhh!!

  • It doesn't do any good. I can't cover it when I'm driving all over the country! lol

  • That's what I always thought. I don't understand people who keep doing that.
