The thing I could never understand is that fast imports are always built by the youth nowadays. Wouldn't that make Imports the new Hot Rods? You can't tell me a 16 year old can afford a Fastback Mustang or a 69 Camaro. All the Baby Boomers and rich auctioneers are all buying them up, merely for the money that they make. It's unfair that people like me are criticized and categorized for picking a Japanese automaker when it's all I can afford.

@irepelay Why not buy a 90s S10 or a 90s Ford F-150. With the S10 you can find them for $1000 which is cheaper than most japanese imports, the stock 4.3 can use Chevy 350 parts and when you swap a chevy 350 for only $2000 you can buy an Edelbrock Power Package from Jegs and have 450 Hp much cheaper than an import. The Ford F-150s have the 4.6 Mod engine the same as the Mustang. So Imports are not cheaper, especially there parts cost 3 times as much.

@skatepunkzero the parts for domestic is cheap because its made here in the US LOL most import stuff are ship over sea's im pretty its cheap for them over there.

@TaLoCc Not really the import parts are more expensive because the engines have more electronics and computers in them that its hard to make parts for them. Another factor is the smaller displacement means you have to twice as much work to get the same power, so you need more expensive parts.

Obviously most of import cars won in this video. But in drag racing what do the fastest 4 and 6 cylinders run in the quarter mile. 6 secs right? thats with a turbo. Top fuel V8 cae run 4sec in the quarter. They also naturally aspirated V8's that run 6 sec. just talking shit. lol

Only because they are still drivable to get to the pump unlike the imports that have to be towed back because most of the 10 second FWD cars could barely be driven anywhere but the 1/4 mile and refilled with race gas from a barrel in the pits.

Is doesn´t matter what you´ve brung, as long as it´s damn right impressive. For instance, if i see a foxbody mustang I think ´oh that thing can easily do 8´s´. When I see a honda civic I think ´oh that thing can probably do 10´s´ and when I see it doing 8´s it´s much more impressive because you simply don´t expect it out of a honda civic with 4 cylinders and fwd
