Grand turismo isnt a good simulator, you can stop from 120kph to 0 in half a second.. If you get oversteer, you cant bring it back..

yeai agree. it should let u at least make the ecu tunable in terms of power delivery and responsiveness. and boost controlling would be awesome too. the noises from superchargers and turbos should be louder and when u do an egine conversion, the drivetrain should be optional. whos heard of an AWD RB26DETT silvia anyway? thats not the point of doing the swap, the engine is. hopefully u can custimise the exterior more too.

My only concern is tracks thats where fm2 dissapointed, fm1 had these great point to point tracks some of which took place on mountain roads and they were tons of fun. they disappeared in fm2. Personally i think forza 2 was a poor successor to 1 from a racings perspective but they did bring a richer community to it with the painting and tuning marketplaces. The in car cam is an answered prayer, It doesnt look like the old downhill tracks made the cut im hoping theyll be a nice suprise,
Cant wait for Forza 3! I've never played any forzas as i always owned a PS2 so ive only played the gran turismos which were great in their day but i had nothing to compare it to. I think the ability to highly tune and paint cars and then sell them online etc will make Forza 3 more fun than GT5. Over 400 cars and 100 tracks is good enough for me! I saw a screenshot of the Lamborghini Reventon! Who knows what else they are hiding from us.
I think gran turismo defined the concept of a 'racing simulator' with a massive choice of cars and realisitc physics, but then forza turned up and said "How about if we add a little bit of fun into this?"

Precisely, I have a Logi G25 for my PS3 and PC, and a Microsoft FFB Wheel for my 360, and I have every intention to get GT5 and Forza 3. And you can bet your sorry asses that melittleflower and I will be too busy to care about fanboys. But we all hate the Wii, and that's a given.
GT5 is supposed to come out, just a couple months after forza 3. This is what i think, physics, tie cause GT5 has more than one setting for physics, including one that is ultra realistic, and a more toned down GT4ish setting. Graphics GT5 no doubt. Depth. GT5 is supposed to have more than 1,000 cars that completely dwarfs forza 3's 400 and it also has nascar and wrc rally championships, but how GT5 is going to maintain its looks with 43 cars on track is beyond me. online forza. I call it a draw.
If these games were coming to the same console, then there would be a chance one could kill the other, but both are exclusive to one console. More then likely you pick up the one based on the console you have (obviously). Though there are quite a few people who have the PS3 and the 360, the majority of people have one or the other. Either way though, neither game is out yet, so to try and compare is completely pointless.
That car was bad enough when I owned mine, But that's my opinion, I though the car was a plastic, unrefined pos, But at least it was real wheel drive so it wasn't a totally failure.

Yeah but when you have 9 different kinds of skylines, 4 different kinds of mustangs, 7 different kinds of acura integras, double that with all the same kinds of hondas, it's pretty easy to get 700 cars in GT when all you're doing is changing a couple letters. the difference is the physics. I have FM2 and GT5P and GT5P have better physics then forza. I know they are not the same generation but if turn 10 did only a slight modification on their physics GT5 will be the best.

Gran Turismo on profressional settings with no traction control is real. At any time the back can slip out and make you spin... if you put the power on too early, you spin. You need to time when you put the power on to gain. That for me, is what a racing sim should be. Unforgiving, but rewarding. Forza. Not so.

GT5 is supposed to come out, just a couple months after forza 3. This is what i think, physics, tie cause GT5 has more than one setting for physics, including one that is ultra realistic, and a more toned down GT4ish setting. Graphics GT5 no doubt. Depth. GT5 is supposed to have more than 1,000 cars that completely dwarfs forza 3's 400 and it also has nascar and wrc rally championships, but how GT5 is going to maintain its looks with 43 cars on track is beyond me. online forza. I call it a draw.

If these games were coming to the same console, then there would be a chance one could kill the other, but both are exclusive to one console. More then likely you pick up the one based on the console you have (obviously). Though there are quite a few people who have the PS3 and the 360, the majority of people have one or the other. Either way though, neither game is out yet, so to try and compare is completely pointless.

Yeah but when you have 9 different kinds of skylines, 4 different kinds of mustangs, 7 different kinds of acura integras, double that with all the same kinds of hondas, it's pretty easy to get 700 cars in GT when all you're doing is changing a couple letters. I know Forza 2 did this, but only on 4 or 5 cars, and there weren't 6 copies of it. Even though GT might have more cars, Forza doesn't have trucks, suv's or mini-vans, which quite frankly, I don't need.

He didn't say cars, he said content. As it stands FM2 is the biggest next gen console sim. Late Oct FM3 will lauch and it is bigger than FM2. That will remain a true statement until GT5 full comes out. Listen to this weeks (episode 6) Pit Pass Report on fmDOTnet. Niether game will kill the other, and any thoughts like that are from people on forums. IMO Forza series has been the best and for me will likely remain the best, until FM4 comes out.

the difference is the physics. I have FM2 and GT5P and GT5P have better physics then forza. I know they are not the same generation but if turn 10 did only a slight modification on their physics GT5 will be the best.

The only thing Forza 3 has over Gran Turismo is the community. I'd love all the customization and whatnot, but as racing games go, Gran Turismo has it. The best physics, best graphics, biggest selection of cars and it keeps getting bigger and better.
My opinion on Forza 3 and Gran Turismo.

Best physics? This is a racing sim, right? This feels like an improved GRID. It feels arcade slightly. If this aspires to be a decent racing sim then it needs to get rid of arcade feel.
Gran Turismo on profressional settings with no traction control is real. At any time the back can slip out and make you spin... if you put the power on too early, you spin. You need to time when you put the power on to gain. That for me, is what a racing sim should be. Unforgiving, but rewarding. Forza. Not so.

Best looking game? No, racing sims need to look realistic. GT5(from what I've seen) looks much more realistic with less vibrant colours(which is realistic) and much more time spent on the large and small details.

When did they start GT5 ? When will it be finished ? GT5 has taken way to long. So when the full version of GT5 is out. We'll compare it to Forza 3, and see which is really better.

What is wrong with you? Do you have sex with your PS3? Wipeout is a PSN game, and Prologue is a demo, therefore the tiny amount of code allows for 108-p. They are not full releases. Gran Turismo 5: Prologue had 1920x1080 resolution @ 60FPS.
Wipeout HD had the same as GT5:P..And so what if it is a PSN game.
MLB 08: The Show had 1920x1080, but took the FPS down to 30..
BUT MLB 09: The Show had 1920x1080 @ 60FPS..
The fact is, 1080p usually brings the FPS down and can make the game unstabble if you don't know what you're doing..PS3 has a CPU that is hard to code for (Until now) so it has taken awhile to get use to it..
