Good idea to shut your music off before passing the workers, they might have taken your man card :) However looks like a great place to practice. Do you rent the Lake? or is this your airplane?

cholubaz, It depends upon the canal! The Seaplane Pilots Association has a directory that identifies some, but not all, bodies of water that you can and cannot land on. Whatever agency that controls the water get to decide whether or not they'll allow seaplanes.
Cool looks like a lot of fun and I wouldn't have thought that would be legal to land a seaplane in a canal. I'm pretty sure I would go to jail if I tried that in the canals here around Phoenix that are owned by SRP
