For example if someone where to go up to you everyday in school and literally getting in your face and in an aggressive tone say "How's your day?" it wouldn't sound very bad to a teacher if you went to them and said "He/she keeps asking me how my day was." Which is why when something like that happens the teacher should do more and not just brush it off. (Continued)
The issue in my old high school was that since there is no tolerance for bullying, which is great, but, ppl who do bully do it in a way no one will notice so they don't get caught which is, in a way, even worse. In my old high school in the GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) club we would talk about not only what we can do to prevent bullying for not only LGBTQ ppl but everyone. 1st we talked about what defines a bully, which the answer is someone who intentionally intimidates another... Wow it sounds like some of the people who wrote in for this vid. experienced some serious bullying and it really made them insecure! I was bullied in high school as well, but in a more round-about way, and didn't recognize it as that until after the fact. It def. made me insecure and doubt myself, but hopefully I will get over that and really thrive, sooner rather than later. my teacher made my class watch this movie called 'glass'. it was about this lil' 8 yr old boy getting bullied and almost committing suicide with guns and cutting him self. when it finished the wasn't a dry tear in the room. and its not like no one knew he was being bullied either. he told several adults and they blew it off as teasing. 1 even said ' grow up and stop being a push over'. apparently it was a true story sent in by a man who had that happen to him. :( bulling must really suck :(
I've not been bullied since I was in primary school, but it still affects me today. I suffer quite badly from a social anxiety disorder and it's really hard for me to get close to anyone new. I often feel that people don't like me for being quiet and that thought keeps making my anxiety worse and I'm starting to find that physical contact with people I don't know particularly well is quite uncomfortable.

I am very lucky to have only a bit of bullying in my school, I suppose. When ever someone in my school is bullied, the students usually handle it faster than the teachers.
This video is so beautiful. I can only hope that some bullies somewhere watched this and really thought about what they were doing. I think we often think of bullying as some sort of childish thing that effects only young people, but in reality it effects people of all types...even if someone was only bullied in their childhood they will very likely still be effected by it for the rest of their life.
Those words really stick with you.

In many, many schools, the problem is that the sufferer does tell, but nothing happens, sometimes because the teachers don't believe them, or don't care, or they don't see it happen. They're not stupid, they're just not violent, or don't have the confidence to punch their faces in.
@TheObsessedBanana A lot of us do tell people, usually the principal of our school or a teacher or a counselor. But they don't do anything about it. I had a bully since first grade through third grade, and i constantly told the principal. He didn't believe me, and he though i was the bully. The in 5th and 6th grade, another thing like that with another girl happened. I told the counselor, because I knew the principal would do nothing. The counselors did the same. So, we aren't stupid.

This video is so beautiful. I can only hope that some bullies somewhere watched this and really thought about what they were doing. I think we often think of bullying as some sort of childish thing that effects only young people, but in reality it effects people of all types...even if someone was only bullied in their childhood they will very likely still be effected by it for the rest of their life.
Those words really stick with you.
This video clearly displayed that bullying is a real problem

I have been bullies, thrown in a garbage can, head first. and gotten my head dunken in the toilet. That I got for being me. It made me afraid not to, so I wore a mask for years... Now, I'm beginning to take my mask of thanks to my boyfriend... And I have never been happier =)

i used to be bullied, punched in the jaw, humiliated, made fun of, was discriminated, was left alone and most of all... was cyber bullied (and i still am being cyber bullied butwhen i tell, no one seems to care and so ive given uptrying, so i deal with it)

This entire year an ex boyfriend who dumped me a while ago bullied me. He threatened me with violence, but it were the words that hurt the most - they almost made me starve myself to death. He made me hate me, and i still do.

My dad always told me how to sort a bully if i ever got bullied.
and one day i did get bullied.. well for at least 3 minutes. Then i took his advise, and now the person who bullied me probably has only one testical.
people who get bullied for a long period of time (like over a year or something) are stupid, because its kinda their fault for not sorting it out.
any first signs of bullying, you just tell them straight that your not standing for that shit. and if they disagree. palm their face..

In many, many schools, the problem is that the sufferer does tell, but nothing happens, sometimes because the teachers don't believe them, or don't care, or they don't see it happen. They're not stupid, they're just not violent, or don't have the confidence to punch their faces in.
It's considered bullying after a few days, F.Y.I.

@TheObsessedBanana A lot of us do tell people, usually the principal of our school or a teacher or a counselor. But they don't do anything about it. I had a bully since first grade through third grade, and i constantly told the principal. He didn't believe me, and he though i was the bully. The in 5th and 6th grade, another thing like that with another girl happened. I told the counselor, because I knew the principal would do nothing. The counselors did the same. So, we aren't stupid.

I was bullied, and I told on them, but it never helped. In fact it only made things worse. I had to switch schools. But being at a new school didn't really help, because I was bullied there as well

I was bullied because i was artistic
Those are some of the vast number of reasons i was bullied for but i've managed to rise above it all by myself and i know now that even if my friends and family are gone i can believe in myself and overcome everything

When I first saw this, I actually started crying. It is so sad, and yet so true. It's what I experienced. It's horrible to go through. I've never told to anyone this but, you can never fully recover from what they have done to you. I'm so glad that so many people are fighting this now.
